How Often To Remove Trigger Group on 870?

Weird, I still have a Remington 22 my father got me when I was 8, I'm 70 now, it still runs fine! It has been cleaned with the 'normal' stuff, Hoppes, etc. It has also been cleaned quite a bit with WD40. All my guns, I use WD40 as a cleaner, hose down everything, tooth brush, hose it down again...

    Request load for Kel-Tec SU-16F

16" group at 100 yards? Did I read that right? Something is seriously wrong. First, I'd pull the scope and see what the iron sights do, eliminate the scope as the problem. Wow!

    870 red dot mount

That is pretty much what I have in mind. I just need a fairly short picatinny rail to mount, I have a drill press, just have to check on screw sizes, drill bit, tap etc.

    870 red dot mount

I doubt "trading it in" would be the most economical. If I can mount a small picatinny rail, I could mount the red dot. Yes I would have to drill and tap at least two holes. I could still buy a trigger group pin mount just to see if running the red dot is the way I want to go, if not, I'd have a...

    870 red dot mount

I have a Remington 870, got the urge to try out a red dot on it. I have an older NCStar red dot laying around, (used it on an AR for a while, switched to a circle dot), trying to mount it on the gun. Possible problem, I have a Scattergun Technologies ghost ring rear sight that might get in the...

    Hp38 and bullseye temperature sensitivity

5.0gr of Bullseye under a 230gr bullet is a long standing load, don't think the temp is going to cause you any grief.

.223 Brass resizing. Running into problems

Try 'painting' the offending rounds with a sharpie, lock and load. See if you can see where the issue is. Sounds like you have found a real tricky issue, you've covered most of the bases.

    380acp Lehigh 68gr

I saw that, got some starting points for the 380. Checked out the 9mm, (bought some of those also, 118gr Extreme Defense), the 9mm loads for Power pistol are quite light from my experience. I have been shooting 120gr Bayou Bullets, loaded @ 5.2gr for years and that is kind of middle road from...

How Often To Remove Trigger Group on 870?

Not sure what happened to mine, I'd installed a 'big' button safety about a year ago, haven't shot it much, attended an all day shot gun class, got off about 5 rounds, trigger locked up, safety wouldn't move. The first couple of shots where prone on the ground, don't know if dirt got in or what...

    380acp Lehigh 68gr

Just bought some Lehigh 68gr Extreme Defense for the wife's P238, haven't found a lot of info on loads. I have Power Pistol, BE86, Bullseye and HP38, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

    Recoil reducers

I have one of the Blackhawk Knoxx recoil absorbing stocks on my 870. I like it, my 4' 11" 98lb wife shoots it with no problems.

    Home defense shotgun

Remington 870 with an 18" barrel. No slugs in the house for me. #1 buck in the chamber and extended tube. Slugs on the side carry pouch should the need arise.

    UnTuckIt Shirts for CC?

They work well if you buy them larger than you would normally buy, same as nearly any other shirt. If you 'normally' wear medium, buy a large. Yes, I have a couple, nice shirts.

Pump action shotgun is not for everyone

I'm 69, took an all day shotgun class about two years ago. No problem shooting all day, sighting in slugs at the end of the day kinda got my attention, I survived. My wife is 4' 11", 97lbs, she likes shooting the 870, she manages the recoil pretty well, no way she could do an all day class...

    Federal Flite Control 00 Buck

Great stuff for slightly longer distances. Not sure it's worth it for inside home defense distances, standard 00 buck is fine. Once you get to 20-40 yards or so, the Flite Control comes into it's own. I keep standard #1 buck in my shottie for HD. 00 Flite Control and slugs, (3 each) on my side...

G-Pa's & G-Ma's - Did you get your grandkids into shooting?

Waiting on my two grand daughters to get big enough to shoot my .22 Remington. I got it when I was 8 or so. The older grand daughter is nearly big enough, 9 years old, soon. The younger one is tiny, might be a while yet, only 7. Both parents have permits, taught the older one to shoot a pellet...

Prepping military .223/5.56 - tips from experts?

Drill press, 60 degree small countersink. I trim them first so I can remove the crimp, flip the case over and LIGHTLY remove any burrs inside the mouth. I push the case up into the countersink by hand, don't actually use the press for this. For trimming I do. I do a couple hundred till my mind...
