Only ones I and anyone I know are 2 bar. I,ve seen some nice condition early ones that I was interested in but 1 bar so I passed. I know 1 bar can possibly twist and bind but is it common? I have a couple old Win M12s that are 1 bar and never had a issue. Is it a big issue? Thanks.

I've been looking for a shotgun for my daughter. She's 5'2", 120 pounds. Dicks had the Maverick 88 20 ga. youth for 169.00 plus tax for Black Friday. Nice shotgun. It has the butt stock spacers, 22" vent rib barrel with a Mod choke. Total length is the same as the 12ga HD model. Should work well...

That would be on Mossberg shotguns. I have a chance to pick up a model 395 bolt action shotgun cheap. Very good shape but broken spring in the mag. I really don't need it but I thought it might interesting if I could remove the choke, shorten the barrel(20" or so) and reinstall. Suggestions welcome.

How does a one do this without egging the chamber with home tools? I don't have a lathe. I just want to get any machine marks out. A lot of the budget shell now have brass coated steel bases that I've read can stick. Thanks
