    Traditions SAA

Pietta makes good stuff. Don"t know that I would ever fire one with full house 44 magnum rounds though.

    Ruger single six cylinder question.

On the front face of both cylinders should be electro-penciled the last three digits of the revolvers serial number if everything is original from Ruger.

    LC9S size

I like carrying my LC9 but hate shooting it. The ergonomics in my opinion were not designed to handle recoil. I think Ruger just blew up their LCP into a 9mm and the LC9 was born. Tried shooting Shields and Bodygaurds and very much prefer them to my LC9. Also I found the magazine disengaged a...

    Smith model 442 no lock

Love my 642. Great trigger for it"s intended purpose , long, smooth pull and breaks like glass at the end. I carry mine in a DeSantis IWB holster. Light enough that I forget I'm carrying it. Actually very accurate once you figure out the trigger. Got it so that I can have another alternative to...

Ordered a Rossi 1892 today, great price

I picked up the twenty inch version in 357 a couple of months ago and love it. I went into it thinking I would have to tinker with it for it to run right. I was wrong. Nothing had to be done. I think they are paying attention at Taurus.

Anyone else love the smell of Hoppe's #9

I love the smell of #9. Takes me back to my childhood with my dad cleanng guns at the kitchen table, Back then you never let the sun set on a dirty gun. I wish I had one of the old glass bottles instead of the new plastic ones. Now while I love Ballistal, I still can't wrm up to it's smell.

Talk me out of a New Model Single Six Convertible

I found one a guy bought new in 1981 and put in his sock drawer without ever shooting it. I was disappointed with its accuracy shooting it free hand. Then I leaned it on the door frame of my Jeep and wow! Silver dollar size groups at ten yards. Not impressed with the new ones that the trigger...

    Marlin 60 jammo-matic

FTE is for sure the wire adjustment for the ejector. There is an adjustment you make to the wire that you'll find out how to do over at rimfire central in the Marlin section. There are several stickys on how to keep these great little rifles running right.

    Ruger LC9S w/ lasermax

I use a Galco stinger every day for my LC9 lasermax and one for my LCP. Both are invisible under a t-shirt and you can draw sitting down. Pocket carried them before I got the holsters and hated it.

    Antique S&W questions

This thing has survived 130 years, I would have a hard time hacking it up. Right now it's a conversation piece, a part of history. Someday I'll take it apart to see what's wrong with it, if I can find a barrel I'll load up some Goex and shoot it. Thanks everyone for your replies!

    Antique S&W questions

I just picked this up and would like to know exactly what it is and when it was made. On top of the barrel is "SMITH&WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS,U.S.A.PAT'DJAN24,65 JULY11,65,AUG24,69 REISSUE JULY25,71 MAY11,80JAN3,82". It's a 5 shot with a 3 1/4 barrel. It has some nickel plating left and the...

Holster carry of charged and capped percussion revolvers

On a side note, my little NAA revolver "the earl" is safely carried with the hammer resting in the notches between the cartridges, as per the instructions included by the maker, the same way I carry my 1858 Remington, fully loaded.

    starting to reload .380 question

I measured a box of Winchester white box ammo with a flat nose bullet and OAL was .945. OAL for the RN shows a max of .984. The difference is needed for the round to engage the feed ramp and properly chamber.

Browning 1911-.22 Comes Home This Week

I love 1911's and was excited to handle that down-sized beauty when they first came out. Definitely on my list to get someday. I have a GPA collection, 9 lanterns and a stove, but not nearly as nice as yours, I grab 'em when I can get them cheap. Something else to tinker with. Keep up the good...
