    870 tac light question?

Untitled by kamelean, on Flickr That is the mount that I used. Plus it has a sling swivel. I liked the fact that it used 8 bolts so you can get it as solid as a rock on your mag tube. I've shot plenty of magnum shells through my shotgun, and this mount has never moved on me...

    On Fighting Shotguns....

I have to hold my head up fairly high, but that is fine for me as that stock has kicked back into my cheekbone a few times and taught me how to hold it. The fake ACOG is holding up so far. I got it off Amazon, it is the very highly rated one. I've put probably 20 magnum shells through it, and...

    On Fighting Shotguns....

Someone called for pics? My 870 with Knoxx stock, Blackhawk forearm, Choate mag extension, Mesa side-saddle, weaver rail, fake ACOG, no-name barrel clamp with rails, Nebo Protec 190lm flashlight, and a modified choke. Untitled by kamelean, on Flickr

Would this "Plinking Target" be messy for a 22?

A box of clay pigeons is $9 at Walmart. One box lasts forever. Easy to see, and biodegradable. I use them at 200 yards with the 17HMR.

How much $ do you spend in one trip to the range? (ammo)

$20-$30 when I go every other week. 10% discount at Walmart really helps with the ammo cost.

    5.11 ATAC L1 Light

Anyone ever tried this light? My LGS sold me one for 15% off, which came to about $60. I'm loving it, with high, low, and strobe. It's pocket sized, and I have been carrying it every day. If you have a chance, try one out...

Gun You HAD To Get, Got, Then Lost Interest

Browning T-Bolt 22. It was too pretty to take out squirrel hunting, and too oddball to be taken seriously. Plenty accurate, but the straight pull bolt was too difficult to operate from the shoulder for a quick follow-up shot.

That's what russian "preppers" look like

The look on his face tells it all.

    Guns for tinkering

Ruger 10/22's are really fun to tinker with. Here's mine, converted to 17HM2. The group below is .436 inches at 100 yards.

    Got my first Groundhog

There was a whistle-pig burrowing under my Grandpa-in-Law's(we call him Poppy) barn, and he met his end today. I saw him poking his head out from under the woodpile, and I went next door to my house and grabbed my Savage 93R17 17HMR. Poppy and I relocated to the patio, and it took...

    Kentucky Open Carry

I live in Somerset, and I open carry every day. Some people look at me like I have 2 heads on my shoulders, but no police hassle here.

    Targets that make sound

Snag a cowbell from Harbor Freight, and hang it at 100 yards. I ring one with a 22 all the time, and it doesn't have any holes in it.

    Handgun shooting stances

Seems like the Judge is more comfortable to shoot with the Weaver stance, and I have started shooting other pistols with Weaver too.

NAA 22LR revolver in my front pocket in a leather pocket holster.

How far can you hit ?

Now that is some shooting right there.

How do you carry? Open or Concealed?

75% of the time, I OC. Juge revolver in a Tagua leather holster. I sometimes, however, carry my Colt mustang in an IWB leather holster. Not sure of the brand, it's in the bedroom and the wife is asleep. KY has is OC friendly. I go into an Arby's fairly regularly that is frequented by police, and...
