I just spray clean my pistol with Rem-Oil, couldn't be simpler. I spray it all, even the magazine, and wipe it down with a soft lint free cloth. Happy shooting!
Well, I protect myself within reason, but my home is not exactly a fortress..my two grown sons and I, do also have karate training..I also put my faith in God for His protection..
What they said^, but I think it's mostly exaggerated - rifle steel is pretty tough stuff generally. I clean my Mosin rifle, drawing the brush back and forth repeatedly. Bore is quite clean and sharp, for a 1933 rifle.
I've heard that before the 1934 NFA, the Thompson sub-machine gun was popular in the civilian market. Otherwise the M1 carbine, Garand or Winchester '94..
Try both and go with the one that functions best, or whichever you prefer..just that simple. Hollow-points have come a long way..lots of good choices..
Kimber or Dan Wesson, S&W, Ruger, Colt, Sig, etc. Lol..I own a Hi-Point C9 and a 1933 Mosin rifle - love them both! My wife & I are working class people, with little disposable income..
I'm happy for you. Hi-Point makes a quality product, at a low price and is one of the best values in firearms. Having said that, I have shot Glock, S&W, Springfield and Taurus and enjoyed them all. The Springfield XD is the most accurate and comfortable handgun I've ever shot. I would LOVE to...
Any Hi-Point gun! I own the model C9, 9mm and love it! Around 1200+ rounds fmj & jhp fired, for 13 minor stoppages ( 9 double-feed, 3 fail-to-feed & 1 stovepipe ). Soft recoil, good sights, comfortable in the hand and simple to clean. $149.95 online in November 2012. Great value!
I think it was just another Remington quality control issue gone wrong. Probably lots of blame to go around, from executive management to engineering, accounting, quality control, etc. A rush to production and shipping, to make money.
Remington will never compete with Ruger or S&W in the handgun market. They're trying to get in cheaply, with the R51 ( old design ) and the RM380 ( a cheaper Rohrbaugh ). They need to worry more about their rifle & shotgun quality..
