    Stunning 29-2 4” Class B Engraving $999?!?! HOW??

Yup, you scored big time, tripled up at least. Tease, lol. I would have bought that by phone the moment you told me where it was

Where to find new / used P239 magazines? (9mm)

If p239 mags are out of production, it happened pretty recently because the mags I got were in what looks like modern sig packaging.

    Colt Trooper MKIII opinions?

I have a shooter 4", they are nice guns and feel very solid. Mine has locked up on me for unknown reasons twice now, but a little fiddling with the cylinder release and hammer cleared it up each time. Removing the side plate showed no obvious issues and its not debilitating or frequent enough to...

Where to find new / used P239 magazines? (9mm)

I seem to remember finding mine @ $35 each last year. I'll try to find where. Edit: Sportsmans warehouse, out of stock.

    how much is too much?

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what is too much. If comparable examples only come up for sale rarely, it's hard to tell where demand is at.

Should I have passed on it?

A cheaply made budget gun will never be anything more. I've passed on all of those old off-brand top breaks. They are just an older version of a Jennings or Raven to me.

King of modern defense revolvers: S&W 686+

The 686+ is nice, I had a 627 pro that took 8 though...

Hypothetically what would be your choice: Uzi in 9mm w/ 16 Mags or Winchester Lever Action in 45/70 w/ 100 rounds of ammo?

Mine is a Norinco 320 clone I bought when they were cheap. I wouldn't spend going rates for one now. Almost any other modern pcc is a better gun. The Uzi is just so iconoclastic though.

Hypothetically what would be your choice: Uzi in 9mm w/ 16 Mags or Winchester Lever Action in 45/70 w/ 100 rounds of ammo?

As far as range clout, The .45-70 is just another lever action to most people, even casual gun people. Almost everybody thinks its another Winchester 30-30. You have to show them the cartridge and explain it, blow up a line of milk jugs before they "get it". The people that know it by sight and...

Walnut Grips for my new Pietta 1873 Western II on their way

If thats the one off of GI, thats a nice score, Especially with the .45acp cylinder. I was eyeballing that one too.

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

kind of funny, but one of the things I didn't mention in that thread about the NiB DS-II I picked up...terrible trigger. Single action about 6 lbs, DA about 10lbs, and the return spring is far too light for my tastes, making it super easy to short stroke if ran with any kind of speed. I am...

Well used import 92F for $325?

    Boy, I think for $325 I'd take a high condition Taurus PT92 or PT99 over a beat up 92F.

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

Boy, I've had far more problems with the new guns I've bought than with the used. People say they won't buy used guns because they are afraid of getting someone else's problem. I'm much more likely to get the Mfg's problem. Or I become theirs, however you look at it. Look at it this way...

    NOS Unicorn Colt.

I posted about this a while ago, and it just came in. Seems this was sitting in the attic of a small lgs somewhere until they shut down and cleared out inventory, then it made its way to me. New and still in the box, Colt DS-II, as it rolled off the factory floor. Very rare 4" barrel. The DS-II...

Is everyone still loving their Ruger Wranglers?

Look closely into the muzzle with a good light. Dollars to donuts you find cerakote overspray for the first few mm's down the bore.

Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

I used to have that mindset, until one of my most cherished guns grew pits in the barrel from fouling, dirt, or whatever trapping moisture. Even smokeless through a chrome lined barrel. I had bought a new hunting rifle and set the old one aside with plans on rescoping it the next week. Next week...

Is everyone still loving their Ruger Wranglers?

I bought 2. I love them in that when I returned them, Ruger gave me 50% off MSRP for the pair of SFAR's that replaced them when Ruger determined after 2 returns that they were both unsafe to be fired, and unfixable.
