I don't understand Shotgun reloading recipes

Going from 8 to 6 is no big deal but a slug is unlikely to fit in a shot cup for those two. Same for the buck and while it may fit, I can almost guarantee you the stack height will be such that you will run into crimping problems and thus pressures beyond what was tested for a given component.

    Cast bullet lube?

White label carnauba red for pistol and rifle. Great performance and I don't miss the old standbys at all. Hard to beat $2.85 per hollow 1x4" stick.

    Brand new shotgun reloader

I used mine out of the box. No degreasing. The mainspring will need some lube after a couple thousand but you should be good to go.

    28ga 1100 Rise and Cast

Increase LOP thus forcing your head further back on the comb. 2-3" will probably work.

One shotgun to rule them all

A used Citori is about the best double you can buy for under a grand.... if it fits you.

    Subsonic 6.5

In my experinces with shooting cast loads in 260 rem with RCBS 6.5-140 and Lee 266-140 at around 1,600 fps, one of the biggest challenges is overcoming the transonic barrier while staying within the confines of bullet RPM as it pertains to the limitations of cast bullets and rifle twist. If you...

I tried trap shooting for the first time today.

I keep putting off trap but I need to put in some practice for league in 2 months. Currently loading 28 ga at $77.60 / flat with all components purchased within last eight months.

New to skeet shooting. Am I looking at an ok purchase or is there better?

She's just starting. Get her a ~$600 gun in whatever payload she's comfortable with and be done with it.

"pre silver pigeon" beretta 686 special

I've seen some 686 pre SPs on the range but haven't shot one. I picked up a new '23 J686FM0 in October and wouldn't trade it for anything.

    .32 acp reloading question

Never had a problem running thousands of cast .312" 78 gr bullets in euro cases at .930" OAL. You may want to consider performing a ladder test beginning with a starting charge and stopping when you achieve reliable function.

When to list a 28ga for sale?

The clay pigeon. Be sure to list the following at a minimum: Actual weight in pounds and ounces (not the advertised sku weight) Width of rib in millimeters. Barrel length Auto or manual safety Drop at comb and heel Chamber length, probably 2 3/4 but maybe 3" For the rabbit hunters: finish on...

    Processing range scrap...

Haven't done a batch in a few months. I'll get back to it when the dew point and temperature act more reasonable. I always make a homegenized alloy of whatever I find. Most of what I come across are the jacketed bullets. Some you will have to snip with pliers to break the jacket (watchout for...

    Best .38 Special Handloads

Two 80gr. round balls sized .358" over 3.6 gr. Unique is my favorite. 690 fps from a 642. My 6" 686 will keep the group of each cartridge under 2" at 20 yards.

    .32 s&w Long 7 shot DA/SA revolvers from overseas

If you can't find a real Gretta, you can tuck a picture of one into your waist band... like they do from the website (https://grettagunworks.com/about-us/).

    I already had the dies………

It shoots everything from 85 to 160 gr. Never ran out of room with 140s. Mine came with a scope as a package deal but you'll be limited unless you add a decent optic. I had a lot of fun with jacketed loads but only shoot cast in it now. My chosen loads for each bullet weight in the table towards...

    Over and Unders Are Fun

I tried skeet 2 months ago. I've been going every almost every weekend since and even bought more wads, 209s/Cheds, shot, and a jug of W572. If the shotgun isn't an O/U in 28 ga I'm not interested.

    243 at 100 yards

Nice group at 100. While you'll probably be able to dial in 200 yards with that load you may run into transonic problems with that veolicty the further out you go. 1,600 fps had me solid at 200 yards with the 260. Transonic barrier caused me to look for a new powder at 300 yards.

    EVERYONE HAS PRIMERS???

I bought 4,000 209s a week ago at .07/ea. Hazmat, shipping, and tax pushes it to .09. Its still 50% cheaper than buying factory. Last time I bought powder or primers was 6/1/19. I'm done waiting.
