Always loved Glocks, but always got severe Glock knuckle from them. I finally got my G43 to where it is comfortable to shoot thanks to a significant trigger guard reduction. I also have Night Fision sights on it (I really like them).
You should also check out the Walther PPS M2. Slightly...
I do like the gun, but found that I do much better with shorter trigger pulls (i.e. striker fired or at least DA/SA). I ran into the same issue with my Kahrs. Nice but I do much better with a Glock. I'll end up dumping my P250 as it now just sits in the safe.
I highly recommend the CM9. It will feel much smaller in your hands than the CW9 which is almost .5" longer in height. The key things to remember with Karhs:
1. They are very tightly sprung and need a break in of at least 200 rounds. Racking the slide will be stiff in the beginning
2. Strip...
Pocket carry:
Glock G42 - .380
Sig P238 - .380 (SA with safety) you have to be willing to carry cocked and locked
Kahr PM9 \ CM9 - 9mm (long but light trigger pull) my personal favorite
Glock G43 - 9mm but depends on the pants as this size pushes it to the max.
While I can manage the long...
As Huntsman indicated, I would strongly recommend getting her hands on a Sig P250SC. Granted it is 9mm (as I don't think you will find a .380 now) but the subcompact size is just right and the weight really absorbs the 9mm recoil. Plus it is hammer fired and the DAO trigger is extremely easy...
As Trunk Monkey noted, you pretty much already indicated that the Glock is not the best fit for your preferences. I do appreciate Glocks but have often moved away from them. I too appreciate a hammer fired pistol and also like DA/SA. Some options to think about:
- Walther PPQ is similarly...
The Kahr CW380 appears to be the biggest culprit with problems. Kahr recommends a thorough cleaning prior to use. I use BreakClean. They even have a small hole in the inner part of the slide to spray through to clean out the striker channel. Once cleaned and lubed Kahr recommends only...

The P290 is even smaller than the P250sc. The 250 has a sweet trigger DAO with a smooth fairly light 6lbs pull. It is very...
well I initially said the P239 DAK, but after spending more time with the Kahr MK9 and the K9 I'm rethinking my selection.
The K9 fits just great and the MK9 is so small but such a nice shooter. I'm liking the Kahr trigger more and more. Very smooth but it is very long.
I've.carried a 1911 more than once only to discover the safety was disengaged when I went to out the pistol away
I just prefer no manual safeties. Just that much less to worry about
Well I think I may have found something to fit most of what I am looking for. I got my hands on a P229 DAK. So far I am very happy with this. It is a bit heavy but I have a couple of holsters that seem to hold it close to me very well.
To date it is one of the most accurate pistols for me...
So how is the recoil on the 938? The Kahr CM9 isn't bad at all. I've tried the P238 in 380auto and felt it was a very soft shooter, but 9mm out of a gun this small I would expect it to be Keltec like, which would be a real turnoff for me.
Anyone shot both and can compare?
PS. The CM9...
I was hoping that the DAK would have the smoothness of the Kahr trigger but not be quite as long in travel.
I guess that isn't the case. I'm not thrilled with the heavy DA pull but can manage it and SA is no problem. I was thinking that DAK was the answer but after reading the comments I'm...
Visit the Kahr forum and read through the complaints and also the stickies on cleaning and inspection prior to going to the range.
1. Clean them thoroughly prior to shooting (use BrakeCleaner)
2. Inspect follower and ramp to ensure there is proper clearing, if they hit it has to go back to...
Does anyone have hands on experience with the Sig DAK trigger as well as the KAHR double action trigger.
I'd like to get some comparisons on trigger weight and length of pull.
I find the Kahr trigger very smooth but long, almost too long. Weighting is fine though.
Sig P239 DA/SA is...
