    When is ENOUGH enough?

A couple shots in the dirt at the stray squirrel that is just in front of her car will turn her around at the mailbox: You're Welcome.

The Gun Trafficking Prevention Act Of 2015

This is absolutely true. If the repercussions of the crime was more painful, this would be a step in the right direction.

The Gun Trafficking Prevention Act Of 2015

So Much Truth in both of these: how do you do right by one and at the same time ensure those big percentages are not able to do what they are going to do?

Honest q: why is the Mag Research 45-70 not taken seriously around here?

BFR 454 is no larger than a Freedom Arms in 454. I will assume the same is true for the Ruger.

Honest q: why is the Mag Research 45-70 not taken seriously around here?

I won't buy another FA because of the BFR.

Honest q: why is the Mag Research 45-70 not taken seriously around here?

Have you shot one in .454? I had one in .454 that I put probably 350 rounds thru. It was very accurate.

Honest q: why is the Mag Research 45-70 not taken seriously around here?

This is well put. I have owned a BFR in .454 and a FA Model 83 Field Grade in .454: I prefer the BFR for the simple fact that I like the cylinder to spin which ever way you want to turn it when the loading gate is open. I also don't see the price difference: Field Grade warranties are not...

Honest q: why is the Mag Research 45-70 not taken seriously around here?

For practical purposes, the .454 does the almost same thing, more efficiently. First time ever, the word efficiently has been used in the same sentence as .454 Casull.

It might be for yours, but this load locked my SBH up: thus the recommendation not to shoot this load in his. YMMV

Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum

    340 grains @ 1425fps is a bit different than 300 grains @ 1200. Y'all stay safe.

Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum

I grew up on JT, which tells you I'm a youngan. His revolver articles are on up there with some of the best.

Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum

I like SBH very much as well; actually I prefer it as far as big bore revolvers go, but I like 'em Hot!

Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum

Everything up to the +p loads, go with it. Don't shoot the +p loads. Garrett's has a 310 grain Sledgehammer that isn't a slouch. Garrett's are on par with BB, if not a touché above regarding accuracy. They do cost a bit more though. 300 or >, or Get Out. The reason I have so much store...
