With my uniflow I sat the hopper on my work bench and placed the powder measure upside down on top and tapped on the threaded part with a rubber mallet until it was fully seated. On the model of uniflow I have the hopper normally comes installed and I dont think they are designed to be removed...

I dont own a redding but I do have a RCBS uniflow. The hopper on my uniflow is a interference type fit. I Installed a new one on mine and it required a rubber mallet. Maybe the redding is the same?

Imperial case wax and a occasional dip in their dry neck lube I use both sparingly then wipe case down with a rag

I have a old rock chucker mounted high enough as I stand when using it. Since it is mounted high enough I position a large trash can directly under the press. It does a pretty good job catching spent primers this way. I dont bother with the plastic tray that attaches to the press.

I like a headspace gauge like a le wilson, dillon, etc to check you are bumping the shoulder to spec.

I have a magnifying lamp from HF that I use all the time and it works very well. Have digital calipers from them and they are ok. bought various tools from them over the years and have had pretty good luck overall.
