had a house fire in APril 2012, just moved back in to the house. what your insurance gives you for lost guns/ammo is good for a few trips to a psychiatrist. It just sucks. sorry to rant on your thread.
I have been into shooting and guns for a long time and my experience has been similar to yours. I am Iranian born; American by choice and luck. I have run into a lot of what you describe but some it is the sport/hobby itself. There are a lot of people that know it all and don’t want to talk to a...
ouch, feel for the owners. i had a house fire about 3 months ago. guns had minor water damage. just got lucky, had the fire been a few feet over all guns would have looked like these.
sad
I thought HSO might be overstating the issue but no such luck. According to Google shopping starting 07/01/12 :

I am glad I could help the family of this ever young man in any small way. Here is a pix of the wall itself with his name and the rubbing. Thanks to all that serve and those that served.
Congratulations on the great news. Be patient. :)

I got old enough to buy my...

agree with Pete and the others that say stay with the pump. Talk to others at the range, borrow/rent guns to try. you may find your needs a gun are different based on experience. I ended up buyong an O/U and after a few months ended up buying another shotgun more approrpiate for what i wanted...
I have had mix results with LGS but they tend to be pretty good in my area. I live in suburban Maryland and prices are high compared to online but I would expect them to. I use my LGS for everything except reloading and C&R guns. My favorite is in Brutonsville. The owner and his son work there...
public trap range workers seem to be very panicky and at times mercurial. must be from dealing with the public with varyindg degrees of gun safety knowledge. They remind me of cartoon squirrels on red bull.
I would have loved to have seen you shoot your gun.
