that said having fired both 16" and 20" I honestly could tell 0 difference in report or blast for the shooter. Standing next to the 16" however resulted in a very slightly increased muzzle blast.

If you hit it hard enough and enough times any autoloader will do this, unless maybe you hold it upside down. This has nothing to do with polymer vs. metal guns.
Old propane tanks of the 20lb variety make a very good noise when you hit them with pistol rounds:D

They're great guns... reasonably priced, reliable, and easy to shoot.
However they are a little large for caliber. You can get a 9mm handgun of similar size or a different .380 that is much smaller.
