Does anyone make a quality historically correct Colt double cavity bullet mould? I want one that casts pointed conical bullets, not like the Lee and Lyman round nose conicals. I know about the Pedersoli double cavity moulds and have read that they are hit and miss in terms of the projectiles...

I have been wondering if anyone has ever done a '1st Allin'-style trapdoor conversion of one of the various reproduction rifled muskets available. It seems like it would work in theory. You could use .577 Snider brass as the basis of the cartridges.

I came across this photo a while ago and there was no info as to who the men are or (more importantly) what the rifle is. It is clearly a Mauser action on some kind of aluminum stock. The barrel has cooling rings in the visible section.

I have begun saving the drippings from cooking bacon. I currently have a jar for pork bacon fat and a jar for beef bacon fat. If anyone has any recommendations on ratios/methods of preparation, I would appreciate it.

What is the ballpark value for a '70s Zoli Prodution Mississippi Rifle? I have found one for sale online for $374.95. Is that a good price for such a gun? Are these generally considered a quality and accurate gun?
