I shot quite a lot Blazer AL 45acp back in the last century. It was surprisingly accurate and reliable in my Colt Commander. Out of curiosity I bought a box recently but haven't got around to firing any yet.
I only own one Glock,a G48 MOS and a few 1911s,all Commander size. I had a 43X,but sold it on as my LC9s suits my need for CC better. I guess the 48 reminds me somewhat of a 9mm Commander, plus that I could mount a RDS and Streamlight on right out the box. I think of it as a good tool that fits...
Thanks for the replies. I should have searched and found Live Life's postings. I see the Speer/Blazer brass have the least thickness below the case mouth. I guess this the reason for my set back problem. Just to be sure, with the dies still in the LCT from yesterday,I just ran 3 inert rounds each...
I purchased some Speer Lawman 9mm ammo, shot off 100 rounds and decided to reload the cases with RMR 124 MW. I was at about the 25th round when the thought of set back checking entered my old brain. Sure enough the bullets easily slid into the case when pressed against the bench. Usually I check...
l would call Ruger CS Monday. They will send a shipping label and have it back to you within 2 weeks after receiving it in New Hampshire, with no cost to you.
I really like mine. 500 round count,no problems except one minor one. Get a 1.5mm hex key and some purple thread lock and make sure the rear sight set screw is tight and stays that way.
Problem with my Guardian's slide stop was fixed at DW by removing some of the Duty Finish. The SS is an Ed Brown product. I like the groove to align the plunger.
When I bought my 5800 series,I messed about with the gas system changing the bushings. In the end,I changed it back to the factory stock gas bushing. If it sends the brass into orbit and dents the case I don't care. I have more AR .223/5.56 fired brass than I can shake a stick at. I want that...
I still carry my LC9s daily. I purchased a G43X to replace it a few years ago but ended up selling it to a friend as I found the Ruger easier to carry consealed, with a much better trigger.
I like to size and deprime on my Lee Classic Turret as a single stage. I have a LED light on the turret carrier and this gives me a chance to check each case carefully. The only part that annoys me is the spent primer launching out of the ram slot and having to crawl around on my old knees...
I installed a Marble's tang sight on my Miroku '73,used a dovetail blank as the ladder sight interfered with the sight picture. It will make cloverleafs at 50yds. Thinking of buying one of the folding barrel sights like what came on my 1980's came on my 1980's 10/22 for close in fast shots.
