    Mod 700 to 22 Hornet

I have several 22 Hornets. All by Savage or Stevens. I can cover 4 shots at 100 yards with a dime. New powder, New bullets and one trick make it possible. I am averaging 2986fps with a Nosler 40 gr Ballistic tip. I dumped a 50 lb note at 152 steps the other night. It is deadly.

    17 HMR VS SOW

I don't remember the brand, but it was a 30 gr polymer tipped varmint bullet. Using something like this, you have to hot the skull in the right place, where it is thinnest. It did not come out, but it darn sure went in and dropped the boar. haha.

Best hunting gun for deer with medium recoil

Boy, this topic will stir the pot. I say the 7mm08 is the best deer for whitetail, period. I have a lot of other calibers, but the 7mm08 is my pet. I will kill further than 99% of the people can shoot, and is a tame recoil.

    Fence The Feeders

I started with 48". I know the deer can jump it, but they didn't. I kept cutting it down, until the hogs were actually jumping over it. I have a picture of a boar in mid air, sailing over it. I gave up and took it all down.

Has anyone had a hunting camp where the guests obeyed the rules?

Members can bring a guest, and they are responsible to make sure they follow the rules. If they don't, they have 30 days to remove their property.

    17 HMR VS SOW

Yeah, I get really tired hearing all that noise about needing a huge rifle. You would think you were hunting a Cape Buffalo. Ans, if you are trying to shoot a 200 lb boar, behind the shoulder and have to go through the shield, you do need a a 7mm08, or something. I dropped a 153 lb boar, with a...

    Fence The Feeders

I tried putting a fence around my feeders, and the deer would not jump over them. Corn started growing in the feeder pen. I kept cutting it shorter, until I was getting pictures of the hogs JUMPING over the fence. I finally pulled them all up.

    2018 Buck

I don't know what was going on this year. It was crazy. Hardly anything was going to corn, and we were not getting pictures in the oak flats, over acorns. I actually watched deer and hogs, walk right over corn, and not stop. I have NEVER seen that. We normally have a lot of buck pictures, but...

    2018 Buck

Thanks guys. He was not the one I wanted, but the deer, especially bucks, were very uncooperative this year.

    Watching next year's sausage

Not taking up up for the state, a bit, but they do not learn the snares! You just have to learn a pig trail from a deer trail, and a few other significant details.

Not again.......! Feral Hog Control in East Texas

You just are not making them heavy enough, plus, you have to anchor the legs. There are a number of members, who buy those $100 tripod feeders from Walmart, here. The legs are 3 pieces of lightweight junk, and no way to anchor the legs. The hogs fold the legs up and dump over the feeders. I...
