    Age of Purchase for Suppressor

Hi y'all, I have a question in regards to the age to purchase a suppressor. Since Iowa made it legal to own suppressors just recently :what:. I am eager to start the trust, but I am only 20 (turning 21 in late August). That being said, when does the '21' rule start? When I start the NFA...

    Gun Oil Usage

Cooldill, yes I am. rc, There goes one of my ideas :D. The other idea though (which, honestly, sounds more interesting imho), is a bracelet that holds enough lube for 2~ish applications of lube (that being, you fill it yourself). I really haven't been able to find something similar to that...

    Gun Oil Usage

Now for the true question, any interest in a survivalist-like bracelet that holds a very small amount of oil, enough for say 2 applications? Or similarly, small packets (say 1/10 of an oz) that are enough for one application? They would be in packets of idk, 10 or 100?

    Gun Oil Usage

I have a question, how many oz's (approx) does it take to lube a firearm? This is understanding that every firearm is different, but a very general approx would be nice..

    Aluminum AR Parts...

"We" is a group of my co-workers who all have access to the CNC machine (Haas VF2ss). We do research involving programs that can automatically generate g-code for a part by the simple touch of a button (the program does all the toolpaths etc). With this, not a lot of parts are run so we are...

    Aluminum AR Parts...

You are correct in saying that there are not "Aluminum mills" or "Steel mills", but the tooling that we use in 3-flute tooling. This is very efficient for aluminum only (We only really work with aluminum). To use 3-flute tooling on steel would cause excessive tool wear.

    Aluminum AR Parts...

The only problem is that I do not currently have the tooling to machine steel (nor the funding)

    Aluminum AR Parts...

Thanks for the advice; I don't think I'll actually do testing in fear of having a run-away

    Aluminum AR Parts...

Ahh...I don't need a run away. NEVER mind!

    Aluminum AR Parts...

To me, the hammer would be the only part to really fail (as it is the part that slams into the firing pin), am I correct in that thinking or?

I like to tinker and don't mind machining them :)

    Aluminum AR Parts...

How long do y'all think an aluminum (most likely 7075) trigger group would last in an AR? What kind of failures would you potentially see after long usage?

I've been developing a drop-in bullpup rifle chassis for your bolt action!

I have access to a uPrintSE plus which has a 8"x8"x6" bed that prints ABS plastic

Suomi 50rd "coffin" mag loading tool?

Do you know of any designs for magazine loaders (besides the one listed)? It wouldn't be hard at all to 3D print one

    Suppressor Paperweights...

On the subject of monocores, Do you think the BATFE would consider a monocore (without the center hole for a bullet to pass through & no threading) a paper weight, therefore subject to no regulation? I understand the best way to get answers is to contact the BATFE, but I would like...

    Aluminum Uzi Receiver

I would love to do that. But I forgot to mention I am talking about 3D printed titanium, ie it will break to due stresses made when printing it. Although...I've been mulling around the idea of making a titanium compensator...

    Aluminum Uzi Receiver

Although I will not be paying for material, it's hard to justify to my boss that buying 7075 AI is somehow better than using 6061 (I work in a lab that does testing with CNC machines..). Although I am able to run steel, we do not have the proper tooling (all our tools are optimizated for...
