RealGun, not bashing. I've been shooting the heck out of this gun to evaluate its worthiness as a bedside companion. Just the facts, but it just doesn't have my confidence yet.
Judge, a few hundred rounds later
Well, another update.
The latest is the ejector will sometimes slip over the lip of a spent round, making removal of that round difficult.
Off to the factory again.
Two trips to the factory in a year makes me question the reliability of this thing as...
Chief, I agree with your reply.
Walmart rationing ammo is not socialism. On the other hand, if we are to believe we are a free market society, the gougers are doing nothing wrong, rather simply taking advantage of the law of supply and demand.
Update. Got mine back from Taurus, and they found the timing to be off. Once adjusted, it is a very nice shooting gun.
I'm having the best groups with Sellior and Bellot 000 buck shot. The Winchester PDX1 sounds like a cool round on paper, but just doesn't provide the tight pattern and...
You can order (or backorder) 5 and 20 round magazines from Ruger directly. I'll warn you ahead of time though - Ruger ain't much cheaper than gunbroker.

Granted it would be a lot of work for the moderators, but the Judges are flying off the shelves. Anti-carjacking guns, home defense guns, etc.
I thought there might be some interest in a compilation of threads on them.
Anyway, on to my problem.
Didn't think I would buy one but I did...
Some states with OC laws are very confusing. 30+ years ago when I lived in MS, you could OC, but the gun could not be concealed in whole or in part according to the law. Several local sheriff's deputies told me that in a holster is partially concealed.
Check your local laws yourself and you...
Well to follow up, the Ruger went to a new home tonight. The gent who bought it wants the Taurus too, but has to get it past SWMBO.
I played nice and gave the Mrs. half the proceeds of the Ruger. That will help with whatever comes next.
Taurus 9mm, no issues but definitely a lower quality gun than a Sig (and that surprises everyone because....)
Taurus Raging Bull, .454 Casull, no issues (though I will admit to shooting mostly .45 Colt in it). With .454 it is smoother to shoot than my Ruger Super Blackhawk. Again, not the...
I'm not aware of any high cap .410 bore offerings, but for home defense, the 6+1 configuration of the Mossberg 500 should do.
And there are starting to be some very good hybrid home defense offerings in .410.
I guess you get what you pay for Jerry. I'm looking at Rossi .357s and for whatever reason they are about the only 357 you can buy right now without dropping $1,200 and up. I wonder if there is a reason they continue to be available?
I've got a Rossi shotgun and a Taurus revolver with that...
Guess we have to think CA legal.
Can either of these teachers leave a weapon in their car on school grounds? If so, a Ruger LCP (380) or the equivalent compact revolver in 38 SPL would be great. My 12 y/o daughter fires the LCP just fine.
For pure home defense, for the ladies, a Mossberg 20...
I think they are on to something.
Let's do this on a larger scale.
The US should buy Baja California from Mexico. I think they offered it to us for peanuts a few years back.
We make it the 51st state, and move all the anti-s there. We put a policeman on every corner, paid with their state...
