Ruger 22/45 threaded barrel or TacSol pac-lite MKII upper?

My Tacsol upper is the short 4.5" with a hi-viz sight and it's an absolute tack driver. I've put at least 10k through it and have no complaints so far. I can't speak for the 22/45 factory threaded model because I haven't shot one.

    Ruger 10/22 Target rifle.

I have a full blown target 1022 with the only stock part being the receiver. It is EXTREMELY picky about ammo. I've shot 11 different types of ammo through it this week and I'll still try more when I shoot it again. It ranges wildly from touching groups all the way out to 2" groups with bad...

    Tactical Solutions

I've bought a couple of things from Tacsol and they've performed excellently. I wouldn't hesitate to use their stuff in the future. FWIW they are both .22lr items.

    Colt 6920 AR

Are you sure the latch on the handle is unlatching to allow you to pull the handle back? I once had an AR that would catch really hard and was a PITA to flip the latch back so the handle would move freely.

Time to pay the rent. What would you keep.

I'd let go of the HK USP and the Golden Boy. They both have a decent strong value in the used resale market, and both can be replaced and found easily if you like them enough to own them again when your financial situation gets better.

    Winchester 9422 Trapper Value?

    $450-$500 around here.

What would be the selling value of this rifle?

This is true! I bought one from WM for $320 on clearance in .30-06 and got a Remington rebate in the mail to boot........ but I know for a fact someone would pay $400 for that rifle around here just to avoid taxes, BG check fee, etc.

What would be the selling value of this rifle?

$350-$400 around here. With the camo stock (if the buyer is into that) and the glass already on it, I don't think you'd have a hard time at all getting $400 for it.

    Ammo can round count

I have all .50 cans and here's what they fit. 9mm - 1000 rounds in 50ct. boxes..... loose unknown .223 - 1200 rounds in 100ct. boxes..... 1300ish loose .30-06 - 400 rounds in 20ct. boxes...... 450ish loose .22lr - I put 5000 rds. in one loose and it has a little room left. the damn...

    Shooting position for an AR

Yup, and .223 has very light recoil. Partner that with the much shorter collapseable stock and lighter weight that the AR gives you vs. most rifles........ it makes pretty good sense really.

    Shooting position for an AR

I see a few people practice this way for "tactical" shooting as well. Shooting with a more forward facing stance and tucking the elbows in so they're not leaving holes in their body armor (armpits, sides, etc.)

    pics! show us your rimfires

Thanks Okie, the Golden Boy has quickly become my favorite. The stock takes a little getting used to since it drops so far compared to other lever rifles. You have to have a little more of a chin weld than a cheek weld but it really is a sweet shooter.

What rifle caliber do you hunt whitetail with?

30-06 in big fields. 30-30 in the woods.

    The Winchester 1894-let's see em

Damn salvo, those are some sweet rifles!

    22's are still my favorite.

    savage 308 bolt rifle

I have 2 110fp's and I prefer them heavily over any of my Remington rifles. Savage makes an excellent rifle right out of the box. My only complaint is the same as mentioned above about the factory stocks.

Henry with octagon barrel or without?

A local shop here had the Golden Boy on special a couple months back for $361+tax. I picked it up and now prefer it over my other .22 lever rifles. The octagon barrel just oozes with coolness.

    Scope for Marlin 30-30

I'd do like jim243 said. A decent 3x9 with see through rings should do the trick for a 30-30. You can always leave it at 3 or 4 power for shooting under 100 yards and crank it up if you ever need to.
