    CZ P10 - what’s the benefit?

Nah. I’ll keep my 2011s over both. I do have a recent acquisition p10 F I got dirt cheap, good beater budget gun.

    Sig p320 xten

Same FCU the 9/40 so it’ll fit. It’s a GoGun Gas pedal. They’ve been around for some time.

    Taurus GX4 safety notice 5/23/2023

Well, Sig couldn’t figure it out either at first. No wonder the majority of L.E have ditched their products and aren’t allowed for duty/off duty anymore.

    Surprised by M&P 5.7

I love my M&P 5.7. I got to try one at a local range/shop and I'd never really wanted the caliber until I put a box through one. It's pricey to shoot obviously, but it is a sweetheart.

Who else loves a hard chrome finish?

Am definitely a fan, my old STI Edge .40 never showed many battle scars, same with DVC-L. I was hoping to order a BUL Armory 2011 w/ it but it seems they discontinued it this year on certain models.

    CZ P10 - what’s the benefit?

I'd say nothing really. The P-10 C is my favorite compact striker pistol, and I'm not a big striker gun fan. They have a really nice trigger, and great texture to them. Same disassembly as a Glock, it's pretty similar in design. They're selling for cheap prices right now, likely because...

Sharing - new TTAG piece on the SIG P-320

There was a local shop who ND'd his P320 while drawing/getting out of his squad after a pursuit. His body cam revealed his finger in the trigger guard, and the Chief suggested they couldn't rule out "operator error." Even so, they dumped their 320s...

    My SAR USA SAR9

One of the "fancier" gun shops by me started carrying these, they mostly sell high end stuff like Atlas, Staccato, Wilson etc, but the owner was quite impressed by the SAR guns and started carrying them. I shot the SAR 9 w/ a red dot and was pretty impressed with it, but the Turks always seem...

    My First Pistol

I have the M&P 3.6 compact as well and really like it!

    Taurus GX4 & Sig P365

I have both, a 365 from '18 and I bought a GX4 about a year ago just because I thought it was interesting. Really like both guns, never an issue with either. The GX4 mags are easier to load, that's for sure.

    Picked up a P365 today…

I played with the "new" Macro today, no ported slide, standard XL length and barrel. Is available with or without the safety, and I kinda liked it. I had a Macro comp and never really warmed to it, but the "Regular" Macro is $650 vs $800. https://www.sigsauer.com/p365-xmacro-1.html

Any problems with officer model 1911s

I put 250 through the Staccato CS 9mm 2011 today, 3.5" and it it ran like a champ. Supposedly this one has over 9k rounds through it without a hiccup. Have had a Kimber and Colt 3" 9mm 1911s in the past and ever had issues with them.

    Avoid the Taurus GX4

I asked a gun shop owner today who's also a gunsmith. He owns three stores, one w/ range, and sells 10k + firearms a year. Of all of them I asked which brand(s) are the most often returned for repair and the answer was: 1. Kel-Tec 2. Ruger 3. SCCY FWIW, they do not carry Hi Point, but...

    So...I bought this Taurus...

I won a Taurus G3 last year at a banquet and the thing has proven to be trustworthy. It fits the wife's hands better than mine, so it's hers but it's been a reliable pistol, not a complaint other than swapping the sights, which luckily are Glock based.

    Best of the 9mm micros

My thoughts as well, the 365 can work in a pocket, the Shield Plus..not so much, but the Shield Plus trigger is my favorite. I do like the Hellcat Pro though, it's like a shrunken G19 in a lot of ways.

Girsan MC 14T .380 Tilt Barrel Pistol

I love how the Turkish companies are resurrecting old models of certain guns, the Hi Power detective clone is pretty neat, too.

Who Else Has Finally Figured Out That Sub-Compacts Are a CCW Handicap?

I worked in an E.R, Level 1 trauma center for long enough to know caliber/ballistics are pretty much irrelevant.

    Canik Mete MC9 range report

Well I shot my mc9 today, about 70 rounds. Was back and forth between my 365x and the Canik. As good as the Canik is; I like the 365X better. I think it is a little softer shooting, but that’s likely down to bore axis. The MC9 feels a little top heavy. I had zero issues with cheap Herter’s...

Who Else Has Finally Figured Out That Sub-Compacts Are a CCW Handicap?

I think you're talking micro compacts rather than sub-compacts, but either way.. Honestly, no. The expectation for a micro 9 to shoot as well as a full size pistol is kinda far-fetched. A 686 is always going to be easier to shoot well than a J frame, and the same with autos. That said...
