Can someone with a Kimber K6S measure the length of the cylinder length for me?
I have some old 180gr remington sjhp and I can load them at 1.65" oal. As you can see, they fit my L-frame but J-frames, N-frames, and my 30DS Rhino they are too long.
I would like to know if anyone with the...
You are correct, but I have an L-frame holster from MTR Custom Leather and it doesn't fit. The trigger guard is shaped differently and it is very loose in the holster. The cylinder is the same size but the whole revolver could rock back and forth a good bit. Just giving you a heads up.
With the heavier rounds you could definitely feel it in the web of my hand. They were just miscellaneous rounds so I can't recall what the load was. I can't wait to load up some others and figure out the sweet spot for it (and my hands).
Shot it for the 1st time finally. Put about 100 rounds through it, most were my old 250gr handload that were a bit spicy for the pitbull. Could feel it in the web of my hand pretty good.
Also shot 20 of the Winchester PDX1 225gr loads, these felt much better and are what I plan on leaving in...

I do have a few boxes of .454 255 gr Keith style boolits. I will mostly shoot jackets out of it though. Can't complain until I shoot it though! Also need to measure the barrel and see where that is. It might shoot the .454 size good. I am getting ready to move in the next couple weeks so I won't...
