Hi all, I found black oxide starline brass for 460 mag. I have no experience with it other than I dislike nickle a lot. Any one have experience with Black brass that can chime in?
I recently picked up a springfield TRP. Great gun. I was getting light primer strikes on my reloads so I called Wilson and bought a firing pin spring and hammer spring. I changed them out, but I noticed now that its back together, the hammer wont manually cock. It only cocks when racking the...
Theyre on sale at midway for a pretty good deal but I've never used them. Can I reload standard 223 loads with them?

I have dpms 308 as well. I use 150 fmj at the range and 150 nosler green tip for hunting and they work very well. I load IMR 4320 and shoot those 150's consistent to 800 yards shooting .6 moa@100
I use IMR 4198 in my 556 using lee dies. It meters very well being spherical powder if your using the pro disk kit. I always use full length resize as a last step because I had issues with out of spec bases with the 3 die kit so I filled the fourth hole in the turret press with a full length...
What big bore said. I reload 308 for a semi and it has to be full length resized or it wont seat properly. The LC brass has to be really lubed well to be resized completely because the webbing at the bottom will be really out of spec. I also check all my reloads in a case gauge to make sure...
Sure I can see that. I have a coworker that carries the hornady FTX stuff and after a month or so of everyday chambering's, he had significant set back and you could move the bullet with your finger. When that happens he just gives them to me and I rebuild the round.

Are you interested in a fixed power? The SWFA fixed 10x,16, and 20x, are extremely robust and are 50 cal rated. Ive shot them a few times and they are very nice for $299
I didn't see it mentioned, but do you chamber a round and un-chamber it everyday? Bullet setback is common when people constantly load the cartridge day after day. Ramming it up the feed ramp repeatedly will loosen the round and cause set back. If you're doing this and always using the same...
I have the same riffle from the 90s and added a break. In the stand one shot is no biggie. But at the range the break is a must have for multiple rounds. That thing will stomp you in the ground around round 15.
