    Questioning the Scout Rifle concept.

agree I'd rather have a blind magazine, or (better yet), a flush fit box.

Or lets you top off an magazine, without removing it. & gives you easy access to the receiver, that you'll be grateful for, later or sooner. It also facilitates keeping both eyes open and having a good field of view around the target. And it's quick, no getting "lost in the scope". It's not...

That's one deviation from the Col.'s spec, 3kg (6.6 pounds) ideal, 3.5kg (7.7 lbs.) max. If there's a flaw in the original specs., it's that they were expressed in mitwrecks. :p

    4320 and .223/5.56

It will work, but it's pretty slow, the slowest listed in the 55gr AR section of the Sierra manual, with a max at 2900 fps.

Snub Nose - DAO or DA/SA

An opposable thumb (and the will to learn to use it, I suppose) is one of the things that distinguish humans form other primates.

    Questioning the Scout Rifle concept.

The Scout Rifle was a collaborative project with builders and manufacturers to explore what was possible, with an emphasis on ergonomics. It was more of a walking and hunting rifle than something for range play. It was to be quick, with ranges limited to about 300 yds. A competent still hunter...

    Nu Finish info needed

Nu Finish will work, as will just about any automotive polish. Check the labels for ammonia, don't use it if it has it. Nu Finish doesn't. https://www.menards.com/msds/107724_001.pdf

Who else trains in Martial Arts and do you feel there's crossover?

interesting There were no such rules when I trained. We used pads on our hands and feet, but they didn't cover the bottom of the feet. Rules were light contact to the head and moderate contact to the body. This was more strictly enforced at CU than at Seriff's. A lot of cops trained at...

What species are ethical to hunt with a 10mm?

IMO, you could make your 3" group an 8" group, from a field position. I don't think it would be appropriate for moose or elk. I'd limit the range to 100 yds.

CFE223 on 308 - Radically different start and max

Another thing you can look for with a chrono is that near max the curve flattens out. You get less of a velocity increase with more powder.

Who else trains in Martial Arts and do you feel there's crossover?

The way I heared it :p, from Chuck Seriff, was that after Choi Hong Hi's imprisonment by the Japanese, he focused on traditional Korean techniques that would be particularly effective against Karate, which he was trained in while serving as a conscript in the Japanese army. One of the tenants in...
