    Chipmunk stew,fry?

I love to hunt but hate to harvest anything and waste it. I recently learned that where I live, chipmunks are unprotected so was wondering if anyone has eaten them and if squirrel recipes would work for them? Thanx for any info.

    Firing pin on a mini

I recently had a mini 30 follow me home, at least that's what I told the better half :D,(yes, better half, she just smiled at me and said nothing). I know it seems to be a love or hate kind of gun, still haven't made up my mind but I can put 4 rounds in one ragged hole at 50 yards so that's a...

    Swords for war

How do you feel about swords as a weapon of war? My thought's, I think if we still used swords for fighting battles the world would be different, take all the guns away and these cowards who like to hide in the shadows and ambush with IED's would not be so brave. I just wonder what everyone here...

    NY state laws

Anyone know the self/home defense law for new York state? I have been told you have a right to defend yourself but there is no "justifiable homicide" and there is no "castle" law meaning if an intruder comes into your home you are expected to retreat, little confused:confused:

    Oops or not?

I recently bought a mini 30 and 200 rds of wolf fmj's for plinking and found that the first 2 rounds would not fire. Nothing new, berdan primed, i had a nef and a Rossi over the years with the same problem but just filed the hammer a little so the pin struck harder, no problem after that...

    223 or 7.62x39

Hey all, kinda new here so forgive if this has been asked. Which is better for shtf? I know you can carry more of one and one hits a bit harder but which would be more plentiful? You can get 223 easier In most places but a lot of people I know have an ak, if I do a "battlefield" pick up and the...

HOW DOES IT END,WHEN DOES IT END???

Been doing some reading lately of some hunting mags from last year and one american hunter got me thinking. Where would we be now if Kerry won?? When will the anti-gunners learn that if you try to take guns from the honest citizens then you will make criminals out of us, "pry it from my cold...

    Sabots

I have heard that if you shoot sabots out of your muzzle loader that you have to clean between each shoot and I've also heard you don't. I have always used powerbelt bullets and am switching to sabots due to the flatter trajectory and was wondering if it was true? The powerbelts say that you...

Hey guys, been a way for a while good to be back, hope everyone is having a good hunting season. Opinion on single shot's

I was just looking to get some thoughts on single shots. I always swear I'm gonna buy a repeater and for a while I owned a lever 30/30 and a pump slug gun and hated them. I just went out and bought a mossberg SSi in .308 and have had a NEF 12ga for years and love them. I had a NEF45/70 at one...

    Question about the FBI

I recently tried to purchase a shotgun after filling out the form the store called the FBI and they told them to delay the sale. I have bought many guns and have never had this problem before and one of the clerks told me that the FBI must have saw something they didn't like and that bothers me...
