Thanks for the inputs. I agree with mavracer, the trigger brakes too far back. So it is either the LC9s or Springfield Hellcat. Would like to try each one. Either way I don't think I can go wrong.
Looking for opinions on the Ruger LC9s and the Springfield Hell Cat trigger pull. I heard they both had excellent triggers. My current carry is a Ruger LC9, which I want to replace because the trigger pull is terrible.
What if a person was evacuating say to the state of Georgia. Would they not have to abide in their laws. I know states have reciprocating laws but not all honor other states CWC. I live in Virginia and Georgia does not recognize Virginia's concealed carry permits. I was traveling to Florida...
I don't think I feel safer carrying but I do have the option of defending myself/family. Practicing at the range gets you acquainted with your weapon and shoot with accuracy. In a real life situation you will have to make a quick decision and it needs to be correct. Make a wrong decision and...
Early Remington Nylon 66
Nice looking gun. I have my Remington Model 241 Speedmaster that I bought in 1955. They were introduced in 1935 and discontinued in 1951. Total production was 107,345. Great gun and is accurate.
I am having a problem sighting in my sights when shooting my LC9. If I bend my right arm which brings my gun closer to my face I get a clear view of my sights. Bending my right arm feels strange though. Anyone else have this issue. I tried not wearing my glasses but my sights are fuzzy. Any ideas?
Do you prefer to carry open or concealed? Now that it is summer I find it hard to carry my 9mm concealed. I feel uncomfortable with open carry. Is open carry something you need to get used to?
I bought my LC9 a year ago and I am disappointed with the trigger pull. It has to much play. I would suggest going with the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. If you can try shooting different guns at a range.
Galloway Precision Kit for LC9
Yes I ordered and incorporated the 35% kit myself. I had a problem making the trigger adjustment as per Galloway's video. I called Galloway and they said the trigger bar would have to be ground down some. Just got my LC9 back and went target practicing. There...
Thanks for suggesting I go to YouTube. Great material concerning LC9 trigger problems. I was amazed how well Jeff Quinn and Hickok shot the LC9. Also there is a fix to reduce the trigger travel.
Thank you all for the inputs/recommendations. I'll try to loosen my grip some and give myself some time to get used to the trigger. If that doesn't work I will trade it in.
I recently purchased a LC9 and went target practicing. At about 14 feet I shot 21 rounds and only hit the target 6 times. Thinking it could be me I had a buddy of mine try his skill. He had the same problem. I shot his S&W MP 9mm and put all rounds in the target. With that said I'm thinking...
Firing pin
Thanks Jim for your feedback. I believe having a new pin installed is the way to go. I sent the pictures to a local gunsmith and waiting for his reply. I would be nice to get this old gun in working order. My 94 year old father-in-law owned this pistol.
