    Why so many DRT online?

I had my first DRT last year. Button buck at 87 yards with a 20 ga slug. Double lung, slug under the skin on the opposite side. Remington Accutip. Most others have run in the 20-50 yard range.

School Me - What is the point of a big 'ol rail?

The "slick" rails such as the Noveske NSR and others seem to be gaining in popularity for this reason. The KeyMod method of attachment seems to be emerging as a standard. This will allow you to attach accessories where needs while keeping the rail weight to a minimum. I find these types of...

    Rem 700 ss 308 24" 5r milspec vs savage 10 TR 5r 24"

I also have the 700 5R; mid-2000s era. I have replaced the stock in favor of McMillan, Surgeon DBM bottom metal and the trigger in favor of Jewell. I have had fantastic results with it out to 1200 yards with handloads (175 grain SMK, Varget, OCW high node) and Federal Gold Medal Match.

Badger Gen 2 ACI Mount w/ NF ADI?

Anyone know if a Nightforce ADI will mount in the Badger gen 2 mount? The dovetails look the same... http://www.snipertools.com/aci-and-mounts/badger-ordnance-gen-ll-aci-picatinny-rail-mount.html?sl=EN (P/N A122) http://nightforceoptics.com/accessories/angle-degree-indicator/

Aftermarket stocks for the savage markII

I purchased this stock for my FV-SR. It is excellent, they cut the LOP to my spec, to fit me, 15". They also installed two sling stud for bipod and sling. It is excellent. The pistol grip and thumb ramp fits close to my McMillan. However, it was $250, the wait was 28 (!) weeks vs the quoted...

Thoughts and Prayers for Dave McCracken

Very sorry to hear that we have lost Dave. He was a great man who taught me to shoot a shotgun. Very grateful for having the opportunity to shoot a few rounds of trap with him. Dave, we will miss you!

Where do you live? And why?

I live in Laurel, MD. Raised in Silver Spring, MD and I work in Rockville, MD. Why? Well, I was born here and my family is here. Work is here, and I haven't lost my job yet during this Great Recession of ours. Thankful for that and it keeps me put. Great company. I'd love to venture out...

    problem with Lee dies

What did Lee say when you called them and asked them about your problem? My results with Lee dies have been pretty good (.45ACP, .38/.357 & .308) and the finish work on them is clean as well. Hell, my .308 with hold better than a 1/2 minute as far as the bullet is supersonic if I stay out of...

    .357/Trail Boss/jacketed question

ES - Extreme spread; the difference between the highest and lowest recorded velocity values. It's a major consideration when the ranges get long. I'm not sure I would worry much for close range plinking ammuntion unless we are talking about an ES of 100 or something crazy like that. Walkalong...

    Building a 308. Winchester Load

zreed042, I did not have much success with the NBT 180 in my rifle. I think it would have done much better if I set it out somewhere around 2.900", but I can only fit out to 2.875" in the AICS magazine. Trying the NBT 168 next. I won't have to seat it any deeper than the SMK175 load that my...
