    The THR Walker Club

I'd have to dig out my references, but I recall that the B Co. Walkers were among the first of the 394 Walkers issued to Hays Rangers in Mexico in Oct 1847.

    Schofield Uberti with shoulderstock...

Mssr. Lionrobe, Welcome back to THR. I recall you were a member of THR previously. Could you possibly repost pictures of your beautiful Walker with the shoulder stock. I found your post from several years ago in the Walker Club archives, but the link to those pics are broken. Merci

    The THR Walker Club

I am trying to view the several pics of Lionrobe77's Walker with the detachable through the hammer screw Italian shoulder stock from Sept. 6, 2013 on page 176 of the Walkers Owners Club. The pics seem to be gone/link broken.

Pietta 1851 Navy .36 And Confederate Cousins

Jim: The .44 brasser pic I posted is a Traditions FR185115 (Pietta), but the only dealer that apparently offers these is Old South Firearms. I do not own one, but have contacted OSF several times, and they have assured me this model is a .44 with non-rebated cylinder and non-rebated water...

    LeMat... Worth It?

I recently sold my cavalry LeMat that I found at a gun show in Austin, TX (cost $250), unfired in the box, to help pay medical bills. I created a detachable skeleton stock for it to make it even more exotic weapon for a western film I provided props for. I think it is more visually interesting...

Very short teaser trailer from film I'm working on.

Yep, thats it. BTW, we were actually able to beat AMC's production company for the western, "The Son", being filmed at the same time here to the punch in booking one of the only authentic rustic western town film sets in Texas. "The Son" wound up using another "western town", which was...

Very short teaser trailer from film I'm working on.

That is odd. I was not on set when that particular shot was made. The Weapons Master was. I'll have to ask him or the editor if they added some movie magic ala Adobe After Effects, or perhaps somehow played the slo- mo shooting sequence in reverse.

Very short teaser trailer from film I'm working on.

Crawdaddie: That's a question that has not been answered yet, but definitely a cable network and not straight to dvd or vod, like the last feature length film I was in.

Very short teaser trailer from film I'm working on.

The reason I am posting this url from YouTube is to demonstrate the firing of a Walker Colt (replica) in slow motion in darkened conditions using a Red Digital Cinema 4K camera. The firing is at about the 25 sec mark. Lots of flame. I served on this first episode of "Death and Compromise"...

    Bass Pro Shop/Cabela's

Better stock up on those BP shootin irons while you can from Cabelas. Bass Pro typically sells only a couple of redi pak Tradition Piettas, a few Uberti cowboy cartridge revolvers, and zip Uberti bp revolvers. I live 2 miles from the fabulous Buda, Tx Cabelas, a true tourist destination. Bass...

    Baby LeMat!

If you fellers watched HBO's "Westworld" series premiere Sunday night, you might have noticed that "The Man in Black" played by Ed Harris was armed with a Le Mat in a cross draw holster.

Belt pistol carry between the Mexican War and the ACW?

Was it the common practice to simply shove a revolver inside ones trouser waist band since the use of belts on trousers was not yet a common practice and flapped revolver holsters on waist belts were not in use yet?
