Bayonet on rifle? Yes or No?

That’s my only bayonet affixed rifle, too; a Norinco fiberglass stocked SKS. I think I paid $96.00 for it in the early ‘90’s.

    Backpacking with a Firearm

I haven’t “backpacked,” slept on the ground, or in a tent since Uncle Sam released me almost 50 years ago. That was quite enough for me! That said; If I was doing that type of stuff I’d be carrying. I do every day anyway...

Electronic Warfare comes to home security systems.

We live on the waterfront with only one way in/out; and everyone knows everyone. Our security system is an Australian Shepherd, an Australian Cattle Dog (she’s bad to the bone!) and a retired OG with guns everywhere. My wife is also retired; and well trained. Bring ‘em on…

Sold it. Regretted it. Getting it back!

I bought “back” (from a third owner; not the guy I sold it to) a Colt LW Government Model. I’d called the guy I sold it to, he’d sold it a few days before, and gave me the new owner’s number. This is “the story:” I liked it so much that I actually bought mine twice! I was very happy with it...

If a gun you have malfunctions, would you retire it....

I wouldn’t “retire it;” but I wouldn’t carry it/count on it again until I’d fixed it.

You Are the Target in a Home Invasion Scenario. Which Defensive Weapon Do You Reach For First?

If I’m not right at any of my staged firearms; I’ll use my pocket gun. I’ve been through enough that I’ll never be without a gun on my person unless I’m lying in bed for the night. I also train and shoot regularly.

Can you reasonably get to your HD gun in an HD situation?

Options two and three work well for me. 👍

Really Happened How Would You Respond?

I don’t need a cane to get around at all; but ai do have a solid oak one that I made by cutting down a shepherds crook from Tractor Supply a few years ago. I use it when I have to enter a “genuine” GFZ; airport, in my case.

    1911 R1 Carry

No extractor damage, unless you’ve dropped a round directly into the chamber, instead of letting it feed up from the mag. Yes, if your “function test” includes dropping the slide without chambering a round. What “function” would you be testing by letting the slide go into battery full force...

    1911 R1 Carry

No. Letting the slide slam forward when empty can screw up the fit of the sear nose and hammer hooks on a good trigger job.
