Walther PP / PPK .32 acp

Little argument there. The original pre-war Walthers were the best fit and finished of all the runs.

    007 and his Walther PPK

They are clearly both the larger PP, no doubt.

    007 and his Walther PPK

Also note that Leiter's gun in Dr.No is also a PP.

    007 and his Walther PPK

In American-made 380s this can be true, in German or French-made 32s lemons are pretty uncommon. You may have to test different ammo for a 380, I have never had any 32 fail to operate. In addition many are not aware that the older 380s were not designed for hollowpoint rounds, as it wasn't...

    Langdon Tactical 92

I don't have the complete LTT package but i did put in their trigger job in a bag and it was very much worth it. They describe it as about 90% of what you get with the whole deal.

    Thoughts on lever actions

I was fortunate enough to walk in the day after a Miroku Winchester 1892 went on consignment at the LGS a month ago. I wasn't planning on buying one just then, but a 357 was on my list, and at $750 I figured I'd better move fast. Wish i had ammo though!

    Novelist Seeking Help With Guns

I recommend the C&Rsenal video on youtube on the 1910. It will cover the features and operation in a pretty useful way even for a novice.

Even the NYT admits normal people are driving sales up

Wouldn't it be pretty to think so.

Why does everyone crap on Century Arms?

Bought a couple surplus guns from them. They worked fine. I do wish they hadn't electropencilled a novel on the side of my MR73. I don't see why they added "Manurhin MR73 Cal.357Magnum Made in France" down the barrel when all that was already stamped on by the factory in a much more attractive...

What's a cartridge you'd like to see make a comeback?

9mm ultra/police. Basically a 380 enhanced, would be great to have more bullet choices for my PP Super. All those micro 9mm guns would be more pleasant but still hit decently in this chambering, IMO.

I am trying to identify this M&P holster...Help?

5198 looks far closer than anything else I've seen.

I am trying to identify this M&P holster...Help?

So for geeky fan reasons I've been trying to identify off the shelf gear used in Sci Fi shows. This is from Agents of Shield. Presumably it is kydex for a Gen 1 M&P. I can tell it's got an optics cut and a single tensioning screw but I haven't been able to find anything that matches it so far...

A Very Special Custom Manurhin MR73 by Dave Laubert

Nice! Did he have to set back the barrel to recut the forcing cone? I have a working MR73 with wear to the forcing cone that I'd like to have customized by the right person one day.

Stopped at my LGS today, no guns to be had

A quick google estimates American aluminum can production at 100 billion per year. If gun production uses 1% of that amount of aluminum I'd be very surprised.

Has anyone ever actually witnessed a decocker fail and discharge the gun?

Early safety pp design was milled out quite a bit more and has been seen to break after a lot of decocking. Later they thickened it up. Other than the specific S&W recall I have not seen reports of much breakage in post-war PP series, although a lot of guys do use 2 hands as a just in case habit...

    Reliability of a mil-spec 1911 Gov't

I posted a few months ago about working on my 90s Colt Commander. I bought it used and the previous owner said something like "I guess I just can't shoot a 1911." I put it up for years after finding it jammed every mag. Last year I bought Wilson Combat mags and it worked perfectly. This...

    On Remington...

I picked up a used R1 enhanced, zero problems in about 500 rounds. I am quite pleased with it for $600.

Any love for the 9x18 ?

FYI Marschal makes wood grips for the Super without the little rest... I have never seen one of the Sigs in person. I like their later work... I would get one if I saw it at a decent price. I enjoy oddball guns and obscure calibers. 348 Winchester anybody?

Any love for the 9x18 ?

Yes, hollowpoints are roll your own only for 9mm police. I have found Hornady XTP work fine and you can go a fair bit faster than in a 380. One thing about the PP Super, The grip is very P38ish and comfortable even well over 380 power levels. A tiny number were made in 380.... the price...

Any love for the 9x18 ?

Seems like the other 9x18, in the PP Super has just what you want. DA/SA with decocker, similar in size to the CZ82. Factory ammo, though, is limited to truncated cone. Upside... surprisingly good SA trigger.
