    1911 grip safety replacement

I ruined up TWO of those on my Rock Island. Worse yet, when I was putting a stock grip safety on, I forgot to unload the gun before testing it. The grip safety worked, but I still put 4 holes in my right leg. :banghead: I gave up on Wilson grips. I love their sears, though.

    Lee Loadmaster

Many people swear by doing it separately. decapping in Station one and resizing in Station 2. I've tried it both ways and I do both in Station 1. I can certainly see the arguments for doing it the other way and it SHOULD work better. If things are set up properly either way should work fine...

The web page is back up. I don't know what went wrong - my hosting service's tech help is a bit ..... cryptic. They got it fixed though.

Opinion of the Lee Load master

I'm a very big fan of the Load Master, but to be fair it's also the only progressive I've ever tried. My web page (see signature) many videos and it's own forum. I've had my troubles with mine in the past but it's all smooth sailing now. I certainly have no regrets wit my purchase.

    Lee load master?????

The adjustable charge bar doesn't work well with light loads - it's simply a matter of the shape of the opening. The opening is wide in one direction (the non adjustable direction) so it must be pretty narrow in the other direction. You are better off using the disks for light loads.

Stupid question of the week: 1911 'drop-in' beavertails aren't, right?

I tried two of them on my Rock Island - it didn't fit the frame right and I ended up ruining them both. Gave up. Although I'm certainly no expert on the process, you might want to strip the frame down so nothing but the trigger is in place when you try fitting it. Run the thumb safety pin...

Help setting up Lee Classic Turret Press

I use 1/4 inch bolts long enough to go through the board at the front of the bench. I also cut a groove vertically at the front of the bench. This allows the ram to sit in the groove and the press sits further back. That way the bolt holes aren't so close to the edge. I have also bolted a...

    Press Help

Check out this guy's videos http://www.youtube.com/user/gavintoobe It'll give you a pretty good idea about LNL presses. The second link in my signature is a best (ahem, if I do say so myself) place for Lee Load Master videos. Seriously, if you don't use the case feeder or inserter (like me)...

    Question about Presses

I'd suggest starting with a turret press, like the Lee Classic Turret Press. Remove the indexing rod and use it like a single stage press. The advantage is that all your need to do to change dies is manually turn the turret 1/4 turn. Further, you can have separate turrets for each caliber and...

Help- Lee stuff and Titegroup w/9mm

I, too tried Titegroup (and Bullseye) with 147 grain 9mm bullets. You just can't throw accurate charges with it when the charges are that small. The charge bar definitely won't do the trick - the opening is wide in on direction but too narrow in the other. The disc will work better than that...

    .45 ACP loads...

+1 on 6 grains of Unique. Not only will a double charge overflow the case, but it's pretty easy to see if the charge is lighter or heavier than normal. AND I think it burns pretty cleanly, too.

    Lee Loadmaster

Liberty4Ever has done some videos regarding reloading rifle ammo on a Load Master, mainly about the case prep. You can find them on youtube and my page. It looks like way too much work for me, though.

    Lee Loadmaster

That's quite a leap, starting with a progressive press! I hope that you are keeping your eyes open and your attention at 100% as you reload. There's a lot to watch....... It sounds like you are on top of things, though. Congratulations
