I have a new Load Master setup video posted a http://loadmastervideos.com . It's 23 minutes long and 230 Mb in size. It is actually all of the 15 short videos I made for the upcoming instruction manual spliced together.
It consists of:
Primer pin installation
Index Rod installation...
Okay, I've fessed up on my ND (negligent discharge). Now it's time to hear YOUR story of an ND or AD. I don't expect to see many ADs, because guns don't normally go off on their own.
If it's okay for me to add your story to my web site, please sign it with "OK- your initials". I won't use names...
I messed up big time. Even though I've always considered myself to use safe practices when handling firearms, I failed to do so Saturday. It ended with a 230 grain .45 ACP Hydro Shok bullet putting four - count 'em four holes in my leg.
Warning: the link is pretty graphic. Open at your own...
I just finished loading 2,000 rounds of .45 ACP with my Loadmaster. I had a total of 4 rounds with missing primers - my fault - I didn't keep a close eye on the primer trough - and 1 primer not fully seated. No tipped primers.
When I loaded my last 200, I timed them and was loading at a rate...
I use Winchester primers. I noticed that my primer troughs get a yellow residue buildup which is apparantly from the smooth side of the primers. Does anyone know what it is?
It's really bright yellow and is more apparant than it look in the photo.
I went a little nutty, some may say. I decided I wanted a rock solid mount for my Lee Load Master press.
So the first thing I did, of course, was cut a hole through my basement floor.
I dug the hole larger than the hole in the floor. That way the cement I poured would "lock in" under...
I've recently started reloading .45 ACP. I've only tried 230 grain RN so far, but I'm thinking of trying lighter bullets. I'd be interested in hearing other peoples' experiences with 185 grain bullets. I use Unique powder.
I'm loading .45 ACP for my Springfield Champion (4 inch barrel). I'm trying to replicate 230 grain Federal Hydro Shocks as much as possile for cheap practice ammo.I'm using Berry's plated bullets most of the time, but also buy FMJs locally once in a while. I use Unique powder.
Lee's...
I've seen references to switching Taurus pistols for left handed use and in the manual saw how to do this for the magazine release button. Can this be done for the thumb safety, too?
Here is a video I did on how I set up my new Load Master

I load 9mm with my Lee Pro 1000. I think I have a stuck case because when I lowered the ram the shellholder didn't come with it.
I resisted the urge to pry on anything until I got advice here. I'm using Lee dies, of course.
Does 9mm brass need to be trimmed? I use a factory crimp die and light loads.
If so, how far from normal before they need to be trimmed?
When priming my cases with a Lee Auto Prime tool I notice that some of the primer pockets are "tighter" than others. If the primer goes in with a lot less...
I have the Lee Loading Manual. When looking up load data for 9mm I noticed that with some powder/bullet combinations the "starting load" and "don't exceed load" are the same. Why is this?
I shoot a Kel-Tec P11 and am saving brass for when I start reloading. While sorting what I have so far - mine - all Remington - and what I've picked up at the range - all Winchester - I noticed that all Remington was scored, none of the Winchester brass was. Is it the brass or is my P11 at...
