1680 and 4227 seem to be the gotos when it comes to subs. Be careful with using H110 as with it filling so little of the case sometimes the flash hole can become exposed if the powder settles horizontally causing your entire load to ignite at once causing overpressure.

Anyone ever seen anything quite like this before? Any ideas if could/does work? Seems like a rather interesting concept but I'm not up to...
I've heard of people pushing the PCed bullets up to 3200 fps. In the 300 blk community it is catching on quickly as it can pretty much eliminate lead buildup in cans not to mention seems to be the only way to print good groups with the subsonic cast bullets.
Pretty sure the Berry's I used to load in that weight were sitting over 4.4gr of W231 for me. Been a while since I've used them though, now stuck on Bayou Bullets 150gr SWC for 9mm.
No way to get an expander plug in that thing? I guess I'll have to try and rig something up with the adapter for the regular charging die with expander plug.
I was wondering has anyone done a mod on their PPM to make it auto return so you don't have to fiddle with the handle when loading faster. I'd imagine you could set it up to be very much like the Auto Disk or Pro Auto disk with minimal effort but I can't find any pictures or anything of anyone...
Powder coating is the way to go. Grab stuff from powder by the pound. Super easy to coat. Just dump some dry powder in a small container, drop in bullets, shake then bake. Eliminates leading if sized correctly and generally provides better accuracy. Also eliminates the need for gas checks...
Ya after looking at pictures of the gas block and the front of the rail I'm looking at I think I'll have to do heavy modding to get this to work. According to looking at pictures and using calipers and some math the gas block is .65 wide at the top and the rail is .50 in the channel. Will...
Not using a piston, just a DI with an adjustable gas block. You can't even use piston with 300 blk as far as I know. I think I might have found a free float that will work (one that the rail bolts to the barrel nut assembly and not one that screws on). Just waiting on a reply from the seller...
Anyone know of any free floats that have at least a 1 7/8 inner diameter to them? I'm building a 16" 300 blk upper with pistol gas system and the barrel I have has a .936 gas block size. I've been looking at getting one of the paladin adjustable gas blocks (only reasonably priced one that can...
Darn you already found it. I was also going to say I know the smallest cavity in the regular disk set throws a very very very consistent 3.0gr of 231/38 for me. Not sure if you need to go lower than that. I use that load for the Bayou Bullets 150 gr SWC in 9mm that seats halfway down into the...
Make sure the alcohol evaporates with the lee solution, I found it makes a world of difference (I've had 2 stuck cases being impatient with that stuff). I use the tupperware and shake with about 80-100 at a time in there then throw them in my Lee case feeder and let them sit for 10 minutes...
How would this thing work at a public range? I would think it would end up reading everyone's bullets. Do you have to have your own private range for this thing to work or can you confine the radar beam to one shooting lane (and even then we all know how good some people are staying in their...
Copper fouling is only a problem in roughly cut barrels. If your barrel is smooth enough it should have basically no fouling at all. I have shot 2k rounds out of my DPMS carbine chromemoly barrel and have experienced exactly 0 copper fouling. Same with my CZ clone that has shot a few hundred...
Shouldn't the case rim give out before the press does? That has been my experience on stuck cases with my Pro 1000, rim bends right out of the shellplate. Granted my only experience with stuck cases has been .223 I guess there are heavier calibers with more stout rims but still I would think...
