    Benelli 828u help

Never mind. Hard pressure with a plastic punch did the trick on the pin. The trigger group is back in and everything is functioning properly.

    Benelli 828u help

i had a little problem at the range today. My 828u trigger group fell out ( not all the way) between closing the action and firing. Being new to over/unders and this gun, this ended my shooting for the day. I was able to remove the trigger group at home by manually cocking both hammers...

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

Archangel, I'm not upset, just really surprised. I consistently measured before and after and was surprised to see it "a hair" longer. I expected some setback. I'll have to try the Berry's FPs in another 9mm and use the Xtreme, in this apparently tighter chamber.

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

BDS, I made a round for your chambering test: It measured (more than once) 1.177 before chambering. After chambering (and forcing the slide back) the round measures 1.179, so it grew! I mistakenly made a round just under 1.18 with the Xtreme FP bullet, and it plunked fine. The...

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

Gentlemen, I just started from scratch with three cases. It took seating down to 1.09 before all three would plunk. I had worked down before and found someone else used 1.08.

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

I think I may have been chasing the problem in the wrong direction. Making the problem worse rather fixing it. Tonight should tell...

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

ArchAngel, Thanks for the suggestion. It does make sense to me and you may very well be correct. I may have made the problem worse, trying to correct it. Tonight, I'll pull the bullets out of some of the ones that don't plunk, resize them, and try them again with the longer COAL. I'll...

9 mm 147 gr Help Needed

I could use a little help figuring out what my problem is loading 147 gr 9mm rounds. My normal process is 2 passes though my LNL AP (all dies are Hornady except the FCD and lock out die). The first pass I resize, prime, and bell the mouth. The second pass, I drop the powder, check the powder...

    XDm Front Sight Moving

My front sight is not where I left it!:uhoh: While shooting indoors yesterday, I noticed my group had migrated to the right. I've got the tool to move the front sight back to the middle. I've read of using Loctite to secure it in place. I plan on using Blue 242. My questions are: How...

Why 25 yd min for rifle

The real deal guys is this is a 40 upper that I use for my outdoor club's bowling pin matches. I'd really like to be able to sight it end at 26 feet, as that is the range to the pins. Before I replaced the A2 front post sight, I had a 1" riser on my red dot. At 25 yards it was well into the...

Why 25 yd min for rifle

As far as I know every lane is the same. It does seem like only the end lanes are used for rifle.

Why 25 yd min for rifle

Sam, Like the others have said, nice graphics and the best explanation I've heard. I just wish range employees could explain why they have rules. I guess I'm just pick y that way!

Why 25 yd min for rifle

Sorry its taken me so long to get back: I think it is valid. RC, the distance to the back stop is 25+ yards, that never changes, so any concerns about the back stop don't change with the range to the target. Art

Why 25 yd min for rifle

My local indoor range has the policy that any shoulder mounted firearm must be shot at the full 25 yard distance. I have asked many employees (mostly RSOs) and no one seems to understand why. Does anyone know the foundation for this rule. If so, what is it, and do you think it's valid?

Anyone Tried a Hornady LNL AP Primer Pocket Swage Tool?

Hornady Primer Pocket Swage Tool Review You're right Rule3, after some overtime (free spending money) I ordered one. I used it for the first time this weekend Here are some impressions after setting it up and using it for 100 rounds: 1) I was severely disappointed when I opened the box...

    Press Help

Grunt, Consider an adapter for whichever single stage you decide to go with. Since all of your dies already have bushings, this would make switching dies a breeze. You have to readjust all of your dies, but you wouldn't have to trash the bushings...
