What is the most recent knife you bought?

Haha, that's awesome. Crazy thing is, I could carry one in on me no issue. Security doesn't stop county employees (or in my case a state employee who works in the building) at the metal detector. Just gotta flash your ID and off you go. Both courthouses I've worked at, in different counties...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

One of the bailiffs in the courthouse I work at makes custom knives, sheaths, and holsters. I've really been thinking about having him make one for my Cocobolo Buck 119, and maybe a holster for my 1911. The other has a commercial reloading operation. They're going to bankrupt me. 🤣

What is the most recent knife you bought?

I'm pretty sure I own more Kizers than anything else. I have a Begleiter XL, Drop Bear (KnifeCenter exclusive in 20CV), that Original, and a Banish (one of 2 options I have for sure 2.5" knives for Chicago legality). I feel like they really have found that sweet spot of value. Now if they'd...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

I was really tempted by that one as well! The few extra dollars I saved won out though, haha.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

I purchased it direct from Kizer on sale/clearance. Used reward points for free shipping too. https://www.kizerknives.com/collections/kizer-friday-club/products/original-v3605kfc1

    Camping/woods knife

I recently bought a Cold Steel Master Hunter in 3V, and if I could only have one knife in my collection to rely on in the wilderness I think it'd be my first choice. To me, 4.5" of blade seems like a good middle ground for most tasks, and the 3V should last a good long time.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Pro-Tech Newport in S35VN, my first American made auto and perfect for the kinda-3" blade limit laws here in IL. Kizer Original in 154CM, this was a "because it was so cheap" purchase. I'm not big on coated blades, and the scales scream gas station knife, but it's a quality knife and I got it...

    Buck 119

Appreciated again. Looking for more of a utility/camping knife that could be pushed into hunting use if needed. Will probably end up buying a dedicated hunting knife if that ends up being a consistent need. I do have a 684 Small Bucklite for a smaller "hunting" knife. I've just always loved...

    Buck 119

Actually, not to deviate from Buck, but kinda thinking about an ESEE 4 in S35VN now...

    Buck 119

I don't mind a coated blade, thought it's not my preference. But that huge logo on it ruins it for me. :(

    Buck 119

Thanks! I'm actually considering the Pursuit Pro as well. Handle isn't as nice as the Vanguards but the S35VN piques my interest.

    Buck 119

If I get an actual user, I think I'll end up getting the version with S35VN steel and a micarta handle. Someone gave me the Harbor Freight knockoff that I use as a beater knife, and my cocobolo one I just can't bring myself to use much. To pretty, haha. I'd probably drop down to the 117...

If you happen to fall into the law enforcement/first responder/government realm, you can get some amazing deals through their program.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Real Steel Huginn in VG10 Gerber Sedulo in S30V Benchmade North Fork in S30V Spycerco Para 3 in 20CV Going to replace the scales on the Para 3, bought it for the steel and not a fan of the neon green. I think my next purchase will be a Spyderco Lil' Native. Eyeing the KnifeJoy exclusive pink...

    Buck 119

I have the same one. Was actually what got me into knives like I am with firearms. I have mostly folders, but have some nice fixed knives as well. My Buck 119 will probably never see any hard use, the Cocobolo handles make it more of a pretty, show off piece for me. And that's just fine...

    Blade Types, Sheepsfoot?

They're especially good for tasks where you want to minimize the risk of piercing. That's actually where the name comes from, originally sheep farmers used them for tending to the hooves of their animals, and the lack of a sharp point made it basically impossible to accidentally stab their feet...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Recently bought an OKnife Rubato 2 in 154CM and Kizer Drop Bear in 20CV. It's definitely not subtle that Kizer is the OEM for the OKnife, haha. Really like 'em so far. I have a Benchmade North Fork in S30V on the way as well. Politics of that whole thing aside, it's a damn pretty knife and...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

So, didn't realize how large an (almost) 4" blade would be in a folder. This thing is a hoss. Kizer Begleiter XL in micarta and 154CM. Now, I'm telling myself the only other thing I need is a "cheaper" alternative to my Kershaw Bel Air for EDC when I don't want to carry around the...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

That's one I haven't seen before. Pretty nifty. I love Bokers, my once complaint so far is my Kalashnikovs both came pretty dull, but they sharpened up easy enough. The Kaizen I just got, woof. May be the sharpest knive I've ever gotten from the factory.

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Fresh out of the mailbox, after being in USPS limbo for an eternity. Seemed fitting for the "gentleman's" knife to have my khakis as a background. 😆 $47 in S35VN is hard to beat.
