For those of us who live in an open carry state

My EDC is a Glock 20. Texas is an open carry state, and I do occasionaly see someone doing so, but I carry mine IWB.

dimes in a double barrel shotgun

Yes, I know it is fiction, but since shotguns loaded with dimes is the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjpx_s_g2oI

    Small game rifle.

Small game on my property I use this air rifle. AirForce TalonP .25 cal. Quiet and effective on everything up to a large raccoon. In fact, that was why I got it. To deal with raccoons in the chicken pen at 2:00 am without waking up everybody. And it is more accurate out to 50 yards than my old...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

And then look at the same .25 PCP shooting slugs. Up the FPS to 1100 shooting 41 grain slugs for 110 fps. .22 is cheaper to shoot, but I find my .25s much more versatile.

    Shoebox compressor reviews.

I have a GX CS3 also and it is a good compressor. I was using it every day and it just kept chugging along filling my Origin and Airforce TalonP When I got my RTI I used it a lot to fill it also. That gun fills to 4500 psi and the compressor finally gave up after nearly a year of filling that...

    Muzzle Brake

Check out Buckrail. He does all sorts of 3D printed airgun parts. https://buck-rail.com/ I don't know if he does anything specifically for the HW30 but if you don't find it on his site, contact him. He makes decent accesories. I have used some of his parts on Crosmans and also on my Airforce...

    Home made air rifle Mk2

Not pretty? Looks great to me, and what does pretty have to do with anything anyway.

A quick workshop job this morning

Even a high powered PCP. I have seen a double load and the magazine blew apart. Not a good thing when the magazine is on top just ahead of the cheek riser.

Finally got to spend some time shooting my Umarex Origin today

The Umarex Origin was my first PCP and it served me well, but I had to chase some POI changes. I ended up with a cheap moderator that also supported the end of the barrel inside of the shroud. Also a barrel band that I placed just ahead of the frond Also, Umarex has good customer service. I...

    Hatsan 87 QE?

If I were to guess, I would bet that it was cocked when stored and now stuck in that state. Maybe point in a safe direction, pull and hold the trigger and tap on the outside area where the compressed piston would be in a cocked state and see if it will release. Thats just a guess though.

Multiple Pro Second Amendment Laws signed in Texas

Passing a test on the Constitution used to be a requirement for graduation when I went to high school, but that was nearly a lifetime ago.

Multiple Pro Second Amendment Laws signed in Texas

Texas is far better than the liberal state that I moved here from, but beware of property taxes. That is this states primary downside. But at least there is no state income tax, so it may just be a wash.

Yeah. I have a thought on that, but no need to deviate the thread of coarse.

Who Else Has Finally Figured Out That Sub-Compacts Are a CCW Handicap?

No doubt that size is the selling point. Just curious how durable a folding screen can be.

Who Else Has Finally Figured Out That Sub-Compacts Are a CCW Handicap?

I am curious to see how well the screen on those hold up. But then, I guess they really don't have to make them tough since I would bet that the majority of those were sold to the same people that will jump on then next new thing that comes around in a few months and trade the folding phone in...

When did Rugers get so dang expensive?

Labor costs go up and unfortunately labor quality does not reflect the higher costs. Not that there aren't skilled people to employ, but there are less of them and more of the ones that think they are doing the company a favor in just being there. Those are the ones that don't care about the...

    Batteries!

I am lucky in that I only have one firearm accessory that used batteries and that is my Burris scopes illuminated reticle. I never turn that on, so the battery type is irrelevant.

The "newest" thing will be compensators on almost all pistols.

Same here and really don't want one. They throw way too much noise back at the shooter and unless it is a really heavy recoiling gun, I don't see any point int one except maybe in some timed competitions. But even then, the fastest gun I own has no compensator.
