I'm trying to remember who advertised a 'high-end' Remington 1858 or 1875 in .44 Magnum...
It wasn't Uberti.
I just looked at U.S. Firearms, and didn't find it there, either.
It was within the last couple of years and a very nicely done gun.
High-polish blued steel; in the $1,000.00 and up...
I just read an old ( 2003 ) thread about a Springfield Armory Long Slide.
I've recently developed an intense interest in this pistol.
What ever happened to the gun in that thread? Did Springfield fix the problem or was the gun traded away with no resolution...
--- ONE HANDED! :what:
Here's why:
The 'club' I belong to has certain rules about qualifying to shoot handguns at 25-yds.
Their advice is to shoot the biggest caliber in the most difficult position so you'll be qualified to shoot anything under that in equally or less difficult...
Someone said to ask HERE, so here's the link to the thread where the discussion is:

Basically, we're wondering if a light load can blow up.
Maybe someone who frequents the Reloading Section remembers the magazine articles I...
Hey, Amigo! :)
Doing a Search for '.454 Casull' , I found some great threads on what is going to be my next revolver purchase, the Ruger Super Redhawk 9.5" .454 Casull.
When I found your pix I was very pleased to see the same type of sight I wanted to use, and the same mode of carry (...
I was inspired by one of my fellow Forum Members to mount a low magnification scope on my AR10.
I copied the pic so I'd have it for reference ( let me know who you are and if you wish me to lose the pic ) and will show it here along with another similarly equipped SR25, my AR10 and the TASCO...
Moved by suggestion from the RifleCountry section:
I'm thinking about getting my 'Little Princess' her first gun for her 7th Birthday.
Her sister, the '1st Princess', got a Marlin 15YS .22 single-action stainless rifle and a Simmons .22 Mag scope for her 7th Birthday.
The youngest one is...
I'm thinking about getting my 'Little Princess' her first gun for her 7th Birthday.
Her sister, the '1st Princess', got a Marlin 15YS .22 single-action stainless rifle and a Simmons .22 Mag scope for her 7th Birthday.
The youngest one is more of the 'shotgun' personality. I thought she'd...
Will someone please verify this? ---
Is it true or not? :scrutiny:
edited: Is this like a dirty little secret about this rifle?
I wonder about the loading of the SAKO 75, now that I think about it!
Admittedly, trying to fill this niche in my collection has been the most difficult decision in the safe, so far.
For years, I've wanted a .375 H&H rifle.
I've gone bananas trying to 'finalize' my decision. :banghead:
I am down to 3 choices, all different.
disclaimer:
I DO NOT want and AM...
I contacted Bell&Carlson about getting a riflestock for my upcoming project next spring involving a Browning A-Bolt II / BOSS in .375 H&H.
They said they make the stock for the A-Bolt, not the A-Bolt II...
Can someone clarify the differences between these and whether the action...
A while back there was great interest on the board concerning a 'Tactical' lever gun.
I contacted Gabriel Suarez of Suarez Int'l. about an article he'd had on this subject.
He dug it up and put it on his site.
If he finds the photo of it, too, that'd be excellent!
Meanwhile, here's the...
Well, I'm getting the excitement of planning two new rifles for next year --- :what:
If I don't build a Remington 700 BDL 'Tactical' .375 H&H, I'm strongly considering the Browning A-Bolt II with BOSS/open sights/detachable mag.
Currently, it is offered as the Stainless Stalker (...if only...
.375 H&H and CRF ---
Here's a couple of links to AFRICAN HUNTER Magazine online specifically covering Dangerous Game Rifles and the .375 H&H on ELEPHANTS.
Since most of us will never go to Africa to hunt Elephants, I thought it might be interesting to share the links.
There are other...
I recently inherited two Winchester Model 94's.
They are being checked out and I will be picking them up from the gunsmith at the end of the month.
The 1951 has been cleaned and lubed ONLY. It will remain as is.
The 1969 has been 'restified', and will be quite different from what it was...
.338 Win.Mag. or .375 H&H...? (SHORT version)
I can't stand it any longer. :fire:
I've always wanted to own a rifle in .375 H&H.
For years now, I've been engaging in a hot debate with an acquaintance that is a fanatic about the .338 Win.Mag. and Controlled Round Feed...
I eventually...
