    Guns on a TV show

In the new series 1923. The very first scene in Africa, he kills a charging lion. I guess this series is too new and I can't find any info on IFDB. Does anyone know what type of gun and caliber is used to kill the lion? It's some kind of double barrel rifle.

    Rugers next new product

Just got an email from Ruger. They're going to be announcing a new product. Anyone care to guess what it might be? I'm still hoping for a 3 inch LCR, not not LCRx in 327.

What red dot or holographic sight

I'm looking to put an optic of some sort on a Saiga 20 ga. I know next to nothing about these. So can I get some advice, options etc? Obviously it has to be one that would stand up to semi auto shotgun recoil. I'd like to keep it under $250 but would consider spending more. It's mostly a range...

    38 super in a what?

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/858326039 Ok now that I got your attention. I came across a 38 super in an AMT backup. I'm not interested in buying one but I am curious about it. I've owned one of the backups but in 380. It was no real pleasure to shoot. I know they made these in 9mm as well but...

    Spending my Cabela's points

So my Cabelas points are getting up there. I'm looking to get a new gun. I'm at the point where my needs are pretty well covered. I've even invented some "needs". So this will be just a fun gun. I'm looking at a Ruger 1911 10mm, also been looking at the Kimber Camp Guard in 10mm. A Henry lever...

    Unusual Makarov

I came across a Makarov in 380 that had a square trigger guard. I’ve seen them before with square trigger guards in 380 and 9mm Mak, but they were always the Miltex special editions with the Miltex badging on them. This one doesn’t have any Miltex badging or anything about a special edition on...

    Walther's new pistol

Just got an email from Walther. Apparently a new pistol will be released at shot show. Anyone have any inside information what this will be? Or does anyone care to speculate what it's going to be? Gotta admit, I'm kinda at a loss for what it might be. They got PPQ 45. The budget pistol is...

Older CZ pistols-finally rounded out the collection.

Yesterday I started a thread about sub-sets in our collections. This pistol is why. This is a CZ38. Its a DAO 380 acp service pistol from 1939. It rounded out my collection of older CZ pistols. From top left clockwise, theres a CZ22, CZ24, CZ27, of course the 38, and a nickel plated CZ27. These...

Do you have sub-sets in your gun collection?

So I picked up a new to me gun today, which will be for a different thread. But it rounded out a sub-set in my collection of guns. It is older CZ pistols, but it got me thinking about some of the other threads about gun collecting. We all have our preferences and sone people really like a...

Need help with a Llama Comanche

Just picked up a Llama comanche for what I thought was a decent price. It didnt have a rear sight elevation screw. Didnt think it would be such a problem finding one. Ive checked numrichs. Wet ammo still fires fine (with a funny story)

Driving down a dirt road on some hunting property, I drove through a mud hole that turned out to be much deeper than I thought it was. I stuck her good in that mudhole. The water was about 8 inches deep on the interior of my truck. I had two boxes of 32 auto under the seat. Those two boxes sat...

    School me on trimmers

I've been reloading for a while now, but mostly for pistol. I have a bunch of 7mm-08 brass that needs to be trimmed now. The other uses for this trimmer will be for 30 carbine brass that gets shot from a Ruger BH and maybe turning 9x19 into 9x18. I would like something that is ridiculously easy...

    The 32 acp revolver

Every so often the subject of 32 cal revolvers comes up. And every time several chime in with their desire for a 32 acp revolver, but scaled down to fit the round. Now I would also be interested in something like that. And generally someone refers to having this revolver modeled after one of...

    future value of Walthers

I see a lot of older Walther pistols going for some relatively high prices. I mean, I've seen P5's going for $900. P88's for between $1200 to 1500. TPH's for $5-600. I have a special edition PPK/S that i bought for $600 that I see similar special edition models sell for $1200. I doubt any of the...

    GP100 woes

A while back I bought this GP100. It was used and I bought for the sole purpose of having it converted to 10mm. I haven't ever fired it until just the other day. Above the trigger is kind of a sharp edge that hurt my finger while firing as it rode along the edge during recoil. I'm wondering if...

    Croatian PHP pistols

I finally added the shorter barreled one to my PHP collection. These are pretty cool, but super hefty pistols. In looks, they kinda are a cross between a Berretta and a Walther P1. They have the open top slide. Unlike the Walther, these pistols have a single recoil spring. But they are unusual...
