    old colt 38 special. pre-PP or DS??

    Hey guys, I have inherited an old. Nickel plated 38 special, it looks like a detective special from around 1928. But it's only marked 38 special? The serial number is 339xxx and as close as I can find it comes back as a detective.. yet I can't find one that is not marked on the barrel to compare...
