Thanks for the replies. The reason, I was asking is the cost of shipping the powders now a days is pretty step and was looking for one, maybe 2 powders that will do the job. Not much local that sells powders, so I have to order it.
Looking for a versatile reloading Powder for .308 & .30-06, for reloading bullets from 125gr, 150gr, 165gr, 200gr and the occasional 220gr bullet. Don't know if there is such a powder for that, as I am new to reloading the 308 and 30-06, I have reloaded handgun and .223 rounds.
Looking at...
Looking for an all copper bullet for hunting and looking at one of the 3 bullets. Anyone have any luck with any of these 3 or other options. Like to keep it between 165gr and 180gr all copper bullets.
I would think the mini14 would be much lighter and easier to carry in the field hunting deer than the AR15 would. 200-300 yard shots, would the mini14 be effective for deer?
Shots will be anywhere from 100-400 Meters, pending on the terrain where in.
Nosler Partition in the 225gr, 250gr is what I was thinking, I know some guys that used the TTSX and made a huge hole on the other side, I want to eat my deer, not bloodshot meats.
Don't get me wrong, the .308 and other firearm calibers are great for deer hunting, I was just asking folks opinion on the SKS. I have 1 hunting rifle, I was just asking on the SKS.
What I find funny is folks go out and spend $1000-$2000 on .300 Blackouts to hunt with and the 7.62x39 can do just about anything the .300 BO can do but better, for a whole lot less.
So does the Mosin Nagant, but that puts food on the table for thousands and thousands of Americans every year and Tens of thousands of people around the world. It was designed for combat a hundred years ago and still going strong today.
