OK here is How it is done! Listen to this Man!

He hit on some terrific points but one in particular is an issue for us, the silent majority: We are busy raising families, working full-time, taking care of our homes, looking to the future, out experiencing life and do not have time to protest, stand around and whine, be the loud mouth, or...

Gun buyout: how much wlll the .Gov have to pay?

It would cost the government far more than money.

    Ruger's AR 556

Free market. Ruger would have had to assess the market and at that price, I"m betting they're going to sell a boatload which is great given the anti-freedom gun haters.

Washington State I-594 is Firearm Registration

"One thing I thought of that may have I-594 sponsors running for the exit door is hiring our State's Initiative Writer-in-Chief, Tim Eyman, to craft a new state Income Tax on Billionaires for the next go round. I have a feeling it would be very popular among the electorate." I think this is a...

    Using motor oil on guns.

I recently bought into the Frog Lube and had cleaned my Rem 700 .338WM with the cleaner then treated the barrel. After reading this thread and the concern that perhaps FL was dubious as a cleaning agent, I re-cleaned the barrel with Pro-Shot copper solvent and the wipes came out bright blue...

I believe the best cleaning rods are the Pro shot brand. Strong, polished stainless steel.

    Using motor oil on guns.

I've had fine results with M1 20w-50. A bit thicker so I use less and it stays put. The detergents help with cleaning it seems.

Texas school district arms teachers, posts signs warning visitors

It's an obvious solution to the problem. I don't get how the "other" people don't understand that announcing a school or other venue is a no gun zone attracts murderers.

Why do scopes not "see" the front fixed sight?

I'm running a Trijicon TA33 (3x) and a faint shadow is visible at times buy if you position close to the optic, the front sight is not visible at all. Being more of a SHTF rifle, I want to keep the front sight with the flip up rear so no plans to change.

Oil or grease to lubricate the slide?

Glocks don't need much lubricant in fact, that is one of the design/selling features that make it great. Search the web for Glock lubrication points, plenty of images of where to lube.

Washington State I-594 is Firearm Registration

I sent an email off to a few of my "valued" democratic leaders here in WA state and in return, I rec'd one form response from Maria Cantwell that espoused all the efforts of the anti-gun group. Clearly, they don't intend to listen to the people on the other side of the issue.

What my hunting rifles have evolved into over the years.

The Brownells scope eze are all B/O unfortunately but, searching I found this which looks pretty good: http://www.accu-riser.com/accu-riser-ambidextrious-comb-raiser-cr-6000/

What my hunting rifles have evolved into over the years.

I think the comb height is a significant issue. Not being able to achieve both a secure cheek weld and eye/scope center contribute greatly to a lousy shot in the field. On the scope deal...well..I have a 4-16X on my rifle and I like it. I'll admit it's probably overkill but I bought it some...

    338 win mag vs.338-06

Personally, I don't like to over complicate my cartridges with anything "custom". I have a 338WM and am happy with it. The thing is, "you" (meaning other people) don't have to like it, get what you want, it will surely do the job either way.
