I see on the SAAMI website that the specs for .223 Remington case length is 1.760 -.30 Does anyone really load cases as short as 1.730? Just curious. I normally don't use anything below 1.745 or longer then 1.760. I trim the long ones to 1.750. I would think you might start having neck tension...
I picked up some Xtreme 9mm 115 gr RN bullets today. Going to use them in my M&P Shield. Does anyone have any load data that would be a good starting point for theses bullets in a M&P shield? I have access to 700x, TiteGroup, and Bullseye. The OAL data is most important to me. Thank in advance.
Ok this is where I aploligize because I guess I left out POI and did not make it clear and I was assuming we all understood POI to MOA relationship. i guess I could have worded differently. Again 2 people knew what I was getting at though lol :)
No one is arguing as to what 1 MOA is and that 1 MOA is 1 MOA at any distance. Your really just not getting the original question are you? Yea lets leave it at that.
OMG... The question was never asking for a lesson on MOA. I know how MOA works. I was simply asking what yardage they were referencing in the Primary Arms manual. Thank you to the two people who knew exactly what the original question was asking. I do not need any lessons on MOA nor did I ever...
9mmepiphany even though the reference is 1 click = 1/2 MOA that has to be for a given "reference" distance because 1 click at 25 yards and 200 yards is not the same amount of movement. 1 MOA at 100 yards = 1" and 1 MOA at 200 = 2" so my question was at what distance is the 1/2 MOA. I would...
Thanks RCMODEL. That's what I figured. Aimpoint uses reduced zeroing targets for their 2 MOA red dot and explains flat out that the 1 click is 1/4" reduced MOA. Primary Arms does not get into what the reference is. I figured I would run it by you guys.
Yes I understand 1 MOA... 200 yards 1 MOA = 2" etc etc. I just was not sure what yardage the instruction manual was referencing. It just said 1 click = 1/2 MOA. So I guess it is safe to say and assume they are taking 100 yards? I guess on scopes and red dots it is always referring to 100 yards...
On the primary arms 2 MOA mini microdot Does anyone know if it's 1 click = 1/2 MOA at 100 yards or 50 yards? I'm guessing it's at 100? The book only states 1 click = 1/2 MOA. Thanks.
I seen this just recently on some 223 brass. It was brand new factory loads so my first thought was oh now they are starting to crimp 223 brass??? Well I think JMORRIS is on to something.... I believe it was a rainy day and the brass was very wet and they were in my ammo can a while before I...
Thanks OilyPablo. Someone made the statement in another forum that because it is .223 Remington data 23.2gr is about correct. people loading upward towards 26gr are maybe loading at a 5.56 spec. which would make sense. But I would like to hear what the data has been over the years in the Hornady...
Interesting. No one in any other forms had an issue with the question. I don't know any other way to state that Hornady published data is conservative when other people are loading at higher weights for the same load. Sorry if I confused you.
Is it me or is Hornady load data a bit on the conservative side? My 9th edition manual shows 23.2 grains of H335 under a Hornady 55gr fmjbt projectile. I see some loaders loading up to 26 grains. Also what are your Hornady 55gr fmjbt over H335 ? Would like the input. Thanks.
Maybe when using the Bullseye I am overcharging my .45 ACP loads for my gun. I am using 5.0gr for a 200gr LSWC. and when using the 700x I am 4.6gr. Like I stated the 700x seems to work better. I probably need to do more testing and try to work up the Bullseye load.
Started using Bullseye for loading .45 ACP 200gr LSWC loads. I had been using Hodgdon 700X for some time but heard Bullseye was a better powder. Seems like the 700X was working better for me and I am not convinced. I would like feed back on your thoughts on Bullseye and what caliber and load you...
I am new to shotgun reloading. However I do reload a lot 0f .45 ACP. I can not seem to get a direct answer on this one and I have called all the manufactures of all the components that make up the load I am trying to accomplish. The question is... Can a Federal 209A primer be substituted for a...
