Decocker/manual safety or striker for CCW

The Rami makes a lot of sense. You can make it almost as big as the PCR, but you can’t make the PCR as small as the Rami. There are those times where one really needs to carry as concealed as possible. And if the Rami makes no sense, tell that to the guys who carry a Glock 26. They are almost...

    Glock conversion barrels

Let me jump on the dogpile. I bought a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for my Gen 4 G27, added some G26 mags, and it has run like a top for hundreds of rounds with no failures of any kind. I’ve since added some G19 and G17 mags with X-Grips to fill the extra space, which make it a very flexible...

    What Nylon Gun Belt?

I have the Kore X1 and it’s a good stiff belt. Carries a Glock 20 in a Bianchi OWB Holster just fine.

    Ambidextrous Autoloader

Beretta PX4 Compact has the slide release and the safety/decocker on both sides. Takedown lever is right-handed. Note that the full size PX4 has the ambidextrous safety/decocker, but the slide release only on the left side.

44 Mags you can Shoot that Hold Value

I bought a well used, but mechanically sound, Super Blackhawk 7.5" made in 1981 for $325. It's not gonna win any beauty contests, but it's fun to shoot (especially .44 Special ammo) and I think it's impossible to lose any money on it unless I lose it or abuse it.

    Carry guns with hammers

I haven't seen the CZ Rami recommended yet. It is the subcompact CZ equivalent of the Glock 26/27. In fact, it's almost exactly the same size as the Glock 26/27 and fits in many of the same holsters. It weighs more than the Glock, but it's metal rather than plastic. I've got the Rami BD...

    CZ 75 SP01

I have an SP-01 Tactical (the decocker version). The regular SP-01 has a safety instead of the decocker. My SP-01 Tactical is my favorite handgun. Easy to shoot, not much muzzle flip, insanely accurate, reliable and feels solid enough to survive anything. Not to mention its good looks. I...

    revolver barrel length

I think that was a smart decision. I've got a Super Blackhawk with a 7.5" barrel and I like it a lot, but that's as long as I'd want. Plus, the SP-01 Tactical is just an awesome gun. I've got one and it's my favorite handgun. I'll never sell it.

    380 Pistols

I agree, although I do like mine. And I don't find it particularly unpleasant to shoot. I bought mine when Palmetto had them for $169 with free shipping about a year ago, and I've seen them advertised regularly at that same price. At that price, I figured there was no reason not to have one...

    Charter Undercover Police 38Spl

I've got an old Undercover from the early 1970's, and is in great condition. It was the very first handgun I ever owned, so I'll never sell it. It's got "BRIDGEPORT, CONN" on the barrel, and that address was only used from approx. 1967 to 1974. My serial # dates it to around 1972 - 1973.

My new favorite handgun- S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece

With the good luck you've been having lately with gun finds, I would have thought you'd be tripping over a stack of free Model 15's every time walk down the street. :D

    Low Recoil .44 Mag Ammo?

For those who suggested reloading, it's something I would like to do some day if/when I get to retire (maybe in a couple of years). But until then, my life seems to be whirlwind of unending things I need to do. So, unless and until I can retire, I just won't have the time and I'll have to pony...

    Low Recoil .44 Mag Ammo?

Thanks for that link. I signed up to get notice when it's back in stock. I also signed up to get notified when this .44 Special ammo is back in stock. It should be even more of a powder puff load at 793fps...

My new favorite handgun- S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece

I agree on all points. I have a couple of guns I probably paid $50+ too much for, but they are guns I was looking for and don't see every day and were in good shape and I wanted them. I don't smoke or drink or drive expensive cars, and I've worked hard my whole life. I'm not gonna let a few...

    Low Recoil .44 Mag Ammo?

Right now, just a Super Blackhawk with 7.5" barrel. The WWB .44 mag isn't terrible with that gun, but I'd like to find something with a little lighter load since I'm just plinking with it right now. I also have a Marlin 1894S, and the WWB is fine with it.

    Low Recoil .44 Mag Ammo?

I should have stated that this ammo would just be for plinking.

    Low Recoil .44 Mag Ammo?

I'm looking for some low (or lower) recoil factory .44 Mag ammo. Here's the back story: I do not reload, and I'm not going to start. (I don't have the time or space.) I find very little factory .44 Special ammo, and when I do it's more expensive than .44 Mag. So, is there any factory .44...

My new favorite handgun- S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece

What do you guys consider to be overpriced for a 15-2? I've got a chance to buy one in very good condition for $450. Mechanically it is very solid. The finish shows some wear, but no signs of abuse or neglect.

My new favorite handgun- S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece

My 1954 K22 was $460, which I thought was a fair price but not a screaming deal. But it is in fantastic shape for its age, and I just had to have it. I'd love to have a K38 or Model 15 to go along with it.
