    My favorite Press

Well, the biggest change is I don't travel to Ca and Tn. anymore. So I don't do my bets on precision rounds and speed of presses anymore. Oh by the way I never lost a bet.

    My favorite Press

I had two strokes and fell and broke my back. you will notice when I make a post it is quick and to the point. Setting for more than a few min at the computer and my back starts to spasm. I have felt better the last two weeks so I am giving it a try to set a little longer.

Let's see... Your reloading room wall art.

About every other year for a while. I got grandkids in lower Ca. and mid-Tn. But since I broke my back I haven't driven more than twenty miles at a time. I am a twenty-year vet of a twenty-year vet. So I have been to most places.

Let's see... Your reloading room wall art.

Most of us that reload like guns and girls. So that is what most walls will have. I have four Ammo-Plants so you can't see my walls so I don't have anything on my walls. But I have helped many get their Hornady up and running. I have noted what is on the walls but none stuck in my mind except...

    I went red. Hornady LNL

O.K. first off if the shell plate is warped you will find that one or two positions you will have problems. But if you have problems at all positions it will be timing. Now, there are many ways to find out if the timing is off. My first attempt to help folks is to load all positions with brass...

    I went red. Hornady LNL

please ... PLEASE ... PLEASE. go to post titled (what clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share) then go to post # 1334. Follow it and your problem will go away. I can set my primers with two fingers on all four of my ammo-plants. The primer has to be perfectly...

    I went red. Hornady LNL

O.K. OP lets address your two concerns about the Hornady. 1. You like the low primer alert on the Dillon. and 2. You are worried about the noise level on the case feeder. First, let's address the low primer warning. The Dillon will give an audible warning when primers are low, and you can use it...

    Dillion verses Hornady

The worst part about the whole thing is that I have always been a sick puppy. I liked the work. I would work 7 days a week all day and the only time I took off was the last two weeks in April and the first two weeks in May. I have found out that my most important job now is to not piss the wife off.

    Dillion verses Hornady

I have four Ammo-Plants and two single-stage presses. You can put any die in any press ad it is exactly the same. The first thing you do is find the press that the die sits the lowest to the subplate. This is your base press. I used two decapping dies that I bottomed out in the base press then I...

    Dillion verses Hornady

On April 19 2018 after a hard day on the backhoe, I got home and my wife asked me a question. I answered her but it was all garble. She asked me to smile and I did the next thing I knew she was loading me up in my truck rushing me to the hospital. I was laying in the ER for about an hour with...

    Dillion verses Hornady

Well, you have all noticed I have not been on the site much. 2018 was a bad year for me I had two strokes and fell and broke my back. Sitting at the computer for more than five min. kills me.

    Hornady Media sifter

As most of you know I like Hornady. My entire bench is nothing but Hornady. I got the first media sifter from Midway and gave it a review. I gave it 3 stars. I give an honest review and I found that it was smaller than the RCBS and the rotating handle was not as stout as the Dillon. But now...

    Hornady Bullet Feed Die issue

O.K. with the Hornady bullet feeder you need three things to be perfect to get it to run "perfect". 1. The timing with the right pawl to get it perfectly on top of the case. 2. The PTX must expand the case exactly to the proper size. 3. The bullet die must just put the bullet in the case. Not to...

Anyone else's Hornady LnL AP have sloppy linkage/rotating ram?

O.K. I watched your video again before I went to bed, and woke up three times in the middle of the night. So I rewatched it about 10 times before I finally saw it. At 0:03 into the video I noticed that when you moved the subplate the lower right-hand side the handle also moved. Then at 0:23 in...

Anyone else's Hornady LnL AP have sloppy linkage/rotating ram?

This is easy. Skgreen got it. Your press has 2 screws 1/4-28x3/8 part # 39221 that goes threw the ram assy part #398163 that are screwed into the subplate part # 398309T. These screws need to be tight... No really tight. I use a 3/8 ratchet with a 4" extension and a hex socket. to get enough torque.

    GET YOUR MONEY TOGETHER!!!!

While most of you Dillon boys are worried about the primer feeder I think you all will be pleasantly surprised. What I want to see is the new Gen 2 Variable Speed Case Feeder. I think this will be superior to any other brand. Including my Hornady. Now, that being said will I be getting a...

    Reloads inconsistency?

O.K. some have said it might be your reloads, some said it may be your rifle. But I have another idea. Did you piss the wife off and she starched your underwear? Or did she tell you she was going to put starch in what is in your underwear after you got home? Did your fourteen-year-old daughter...

Ever put up reloading gear? A week later it's all back out?

Every year in May I take two of my Hornady Ammo Plants off the bench and load them up in the truck. On odd years I go East to Tn. and on even year I go West to Ca. I am at each place for ten days and during that time I make enough ammo for my Sons-in-laws To last for two years. Then back to the...
