My CW380 had similar issues when it was new,I sent it back to Kahr, they replaced the recoil springs and re-worked the extractor and it has been flawless ever since.
I carry it with confidence now.
My CW380 wouldn't go fully into battery when new,I sent it back to Khar and they made it work proper, they replaced the springs and reworked the extractor.
I have a Kahr CW380,I love the way it shoots, not the least bit uncomfortable to fire at the range, with that said when I first purchased it I had issues and had to send it back to Kahr for a fix(which seems not too uncommon for them)
I like the bold departure from"the norm",and in my opinion toy guns have gotten to be very realistic these days,as long as it is kept secure as any firearm should be then I see no harm in having a little fun with the asthetics of it.
I bought one when Dicks was running a special on them,$199.00 after rebates plus tax,it is the first and only bolt action rifle I own so I can't compare it to anything but it shoots straight and I am confident it can drop a deer which was why I bought it.
I did the internet pen spring mod to it...
i have had to send 2 guns in for repair, both were new and came back functioning perfect,it does leave some doubt in your mind as to whether it will act up again.
With that said I would shoot it and see how it behaves
I have a XD45,its my bedside gun because it has never ever given me a failure at the range, something I cannot say about any of the other semi auto hanguns I own.
My girlfriend got me a houge overmold stock and volquartsen hammer and sear for my Ruger 10/22,took it apart and gave it a facelift and a real good cleaning yesterday.
