    G3 in current use

I think the recoil is much sharper on the G3 design than an M1A, never had the opportunity to fire an FAL to compare though. I've had people insist the G3 recoil is much softer than an M1A, that is definitely not my experience.

    G3 in current use

With so many people still using AKs, I don't understand where folks get the idea that G3 ergonomics are "horrible". Its a simply, reliable, and modular design, thus it has stood the test of time as a better infantry rifle than the M14 for sure, but when it comes to the FAL I think I agree with...

    Buddies Stoeger Luger .22lr

I had a Stoeger Luger for a while, sold it after I picked up an Erma .22(also junk, but more pleasant to look at). After cleaning all the old grime I could with the toggle locked open, and a little fresh lube, the Stoeger ran like a top. Probably the most accurate .22 I've shot to boot(thats...

Got the itch for a fancy out of production Euro Single Staxk

Definitely P9s. The P5 looks way better, let's be honest, the P9s looks like the inspiration for the High Point. But mechanically the P9s is a much more interesting pistol, and very accurate and pleasant to shoot. I don't have any experience with the P5/P38 family of firearms, so I admit my bias.

    Used Steyr Aug A1

The standard AUG stock takes AUG mags, the NATO stock takes AR15 mags, it doesn't matter if its an A1, A2, A3, or the A3M1 receiver. I'd never heard that the NATO stock had reliability issues, but I don't have any firsthand experience with NATO stocks either. AUG's are quality rifles, as long...

    Bersa thunder 380 opinions

They do, but due to low sales they stopped importing them several years ago. A real shame.

    Bersa thunder 380 opinions

A two tone BT380 was my first handgun, due to some poor decisions I made at the beginning of the year I had to sell it. Never had a malfunction with it through many rounds and years of use. I still have a brace of BT22's.

    Recommendation for 22lr suppressor host

BERSA has a pretty nice suppressor ready version of the BT22 that shoots pretty well.

    Binary Trigger?

Rifle ranges in my area have rules against using them, otherwise they're perfectly legal without permits at the moment. I don't really expect that to last. As far as installation goes, I have the one for Hk roller delayed designs, easy enough, but I can't say about any of the others. So for...

    Pistol Comparison...H-K vs PTR...?

I'd get a PTR, I'm glad Hk is finally importing the 9mm RDBs again, but I can only eat so much ramen.

    Hammer Fire vs Striker Fire...

Strikers have their place, and hammers have theirs, neither one is necessarily superior. But for those of us too poor or lazy to get to the range as often as we should, having a hammer to thumb back for dry fire practice beats the hell out of racking a striker everytime.

    Bersa Thunder Plus

I have a standard BERSA .380 that I've shot quite a bit, and a Plus that I haven't shot nearly as much. The recoil is a bit snappy, but I think they're more pleasant to shoot than something like a Sig 938 or the smaller Kel-Tecs. I don't really have any complaints about the quality of...

    7.62x39 Options

PTR32, a bit more expensive than the Mini though.

    Who needs an MP5?

The prices for actual Hks are ridiculous, and the clones are rather expensive too(around $1,700 for a PTR I think?), but there is a reason military and police have been using it since 1966. Its hands down a nicer and better performing firearm. Thats not to say the margin of performance you...

    Browning 1911 380 ACP $249.99 crazy price!

I also have a trouble free example, if I wasn't trying to save my pennies and dimes I would probably get another at that price.

    Safest semi auto platform

Hk P7 is probably one of the safest. When the cocking lever is squeezed its ready to fire, when released, it decocks the striker and disconnects the trigger. Takes significant force to depress the cocking lever, but quite little to maintain once cocked.

Which Single Stack 9mm do you EDC?

Kahr T9(not listed) Hk P7(not listed) Both heavyish 8 round capacity 4" barrel pieces of finely crafted metal.

    Steyr M9, 9mm: a sleeper quality product?

Personally I think they are superior to the more popular Austrian pistol, and cheaper too. But more to your question, regardless of which pistol is "better", Steyr's marketing is inversely proportional to Glock's. As good as Glock markets their product, Steyr ignores it. A more practical...

    Steyr m9a1 opinions

I've spent a little bit of time with one, loved it. Either an L9, or L40 with a 357SIG barrel are somewhere in my future. Highly, nay, criminally underrated pistol. Then again, given how much effort Steyr puts into advertising its not that much of a shock.
