OMG! WalMart to stop selling all handgun ammo!

Yes, you’re right, when Walmart first came, they had everything down to handguns. Then thru the years it’s disappearing bit by bit. That’s how Kmart started to do all thru the ‘80’s. By time the 90’s hit, they said to hell with the low class people and tried to pander to the upper class. I was...

OMG! WalMart to stop selling all handgun ammo!

Walmart is making the same boneheaded move Kmart did in a way. I am a former SS Kresge employee. Notice “former”? In 1990, Kmart was 2nd to Sears who was #1 in the nation. Kmart decided to forget their base, and go for the higher class crowd and did a expensive major remodel of the store to...

    change ccw after el paso?

The only changes I have made was instead of practicing from 10-25yds, I increased to 10-40yds. I also have been consulting instructors who have dealt with defeating assailants with body armor to learn as much as I can about the armors weak spots.

Springfield Armory XD pistols 1st generation

I have the Gen1 XD9SC. To be honest, I have treated it like crap. I shoot it and rarely clean it, it has went swimming in the James River, ate enough sand that would make an Arab choke, been full of snow, and fell out of my CJ7 into a mudhole. It has slid around a nasty floorboard for days at a...

    642 Club Part Three

I handload my own shotshell capsules. I have to crimp hard with a roll crimp to stop that. With a taper crimp, they’ll come on back out from recoil in my 642.

    Virginia law changed BEWARE

Alot of times in Virginia, private sellers of guns accepted a Va Voter ID between each other as ( good guy ID) reassurance that the buyer was not a convicted felon. In Va, a convicted felon couldn't vote, therefore, wouldnt have a card. Gov McAuliffe has now reinstated voting rights to all Va...

    Your Favorite Holster?

I have 2 favorites.... For CCW, I use a Galco Sto-n-Go IWB. ( jframe ) For range shooting & timed events, I use an old Safety Speed Bucheimer Patrolman holster on a Bucheimer duty belt from 1979. (S&W 686). I guess you could slang call it "A Rick Grimes rig".

    new wheelgun 686 4"

I got a 686+ about a month ago. One of the best purchases I have ever made. I have shot the crud out of it since I got it. The more ya shoot it, the better it gets.

    turret or single for resize?

I really only use the single press for NATO brass. It puts a whole lot of force on my Turret press, so, I just do those on the single stage.

Having an Old Timers Moment, AR15 question

My nephew bought over his AR15 bolt in a baggie disassembled. It's been 30 years since I assembled one. I got all of it together, and I can't remember for the life of me if a milspec AR uses a firing pin spring. I'm thinking that it don't and the pin is held with the cotter key pin.... am I...

    Remington 11-48

Bad part about an 11-48 barrel is that it is like the model 12... It's hard to find one that hasnt had a Cutts compensator or poly choke put on it nowdays.
