Hope Y'all are busy out killing hogs. Nothing here since February. I am actually glad to not have them on the old homeplace. But I already live in the state of Misery and have enough to do.
Wish I had experience here. I have esearched this a lot. Saving right now for a 458 can for my 45-70s and the 458 SOCOM. But the basics are the same. Use a long for caliber heavyweight bullet at subsonic velocities. You might or might not be able to reach "Hollywood QUIET". For several calibers...
I come back here every few days to check up on comments. Flintknapper, this is a tutorial for most areas with hogs. It tells what to do and you're unashamed to talk about mistakes and missed shots. Thanks a lot for the patience and information.
My advice is worth what you paid for it. This guy is narcissistic and won't learn easily even from long term confinement. He should get many years in prison and asset seizure. More simply put, to him anything he does is OK, because HE did it.
Don't cry Willy. Mo corrections officers are the lowest paid in the US. I have never received a net paycheck as much as the Mo DOC claims I make. No one can tell me why. Personnel just shrugs their shoulders. But this is the first time I have seen included, corrections officers and P&P officers.
I own a Burris and two Leupolds. I have two Leupys for a reason. I prefer them. It WAS however the first forward mount fullsize scope I owned. I started years ago with a 7/8 cheapie scope on a Springfield single shot 22. It had an excessive eye relief but worked really well. When I read of the...
I'm looking for the best suppressor for a 458SOCOM. So I want a really efficient design that is affordable. Two different things perhaps. But the 45 ACP looks to be the best out of a pistol.
I'm interested in all these ideas. Some are good and others better. I'm encouraged to try a few things myself as I like to do some gravel grinding myself. A packable gun and fishing hear are good additions to an adventure.
The kit should arrive soon. I have a Bridgeport vertical mill in the basement. I got the specs from the Wilson website. The upper w/forward assist is coming from www.midwayUSA.com I think I can make it work. I have the Lancer magazines here. They are supposed to work but mine are not specced...
I have a SOCOM build kit from Wilson Combat coming. They said it should ship on Monday. It will be in my hands by Thursday. The question is twofold. Do I rebuild my present upper or another one? And where am I going to hunt pigs in Misery? I have been told in hushed tones there are some on...
I guess the bolt gun is my choice here. But the 308 rebored to 358 lightens the platform so it really is quite apprapos to the converstion. And thanks for the welcome MachIV.
I NEED 3 of them. In .308, .358 Win., and 458 SOCOM. Depending on the barrel attachment, I might be able to make a switch barrel. How is that for dreaming?:what:
Probably OT to you guys. But here goes. Why not a 358 winchester in an AR or bolt either one? The bullet is preexpanded by 0.050" over the .308 and with 0.050 more steel gone from the barrel it is lighter. Use the AR in a moderate 20 inch barrel and go kill something. The variable power scope...
