    Leather Works Info, Please

I have not made anything in a LONG while but Tandy was great! I made both shooting accessories and horse stuff both as kits early on and then just materials for projects in Horseman and other magazines! Good Luck!

Was there a revolver whose use was preferred by the U.S. Cavalry during the Civil War?

You "PREFER" the one that you were issued because that is the one that you are going to get issued ammunition for!!! If you like the 1851 Navy .36 caliber Colt revolver for its balance, etc. but your unit was issued Colt 1860's then the .44 caliber ammunition is what you are going to draw! Your...

    Unknown Uberti Model???

This is .36 caliber. Hidden by the loading lever, on the round part of the barrel, it bears a very clear "U" in the bore of a gun muzzle maker's mark for Uberti. The barrel is VERY unusual...

Hey city of Boston, where do I get one of these 9mm .44 blackpowder conversion 1851 navies?

Good Eye! I can't find a similar Denix. Both Cooper and Manhattan Colt knock-offs had that part built like Colt. Anyone have any other ideas???

Can you spot the original/s? Just for fun

Its the notches! Trapezoidal bolt stop notches and great big leads into them on repros vs rectangular notches with tiny (if any) leads on 1st gens. And, of course, a brass frame. I have seen fakes with the notches squared up but you can't hide the leads.

Can you spot the original/s? Just for fun

The 3rd Model Dragoon and the 1860 Army below it are modern reproductions. The brass framed snubbie is also a repro.

Hey city of Boston, where do I get one of these 9mm .44 blackpowder conversion 1851 navies?

Are you sure that is an 1851 converted from .44 to 9mm??? It looks original and 1851's were not offered in .44 until the Italians decided the make them! However an original 1862 Pocket Navy Colt would be an excellent choice for a 9mm conversion. And then there are these cute little devils in 9mm...

    Forgotten weapons Viking Firearms

OK! Lets talk about Portuguese stone cannon balls and pieces of an exploded "Handgonne" or Swivel gun found with charcoal remains carbon dated to the 1300/1400's on Oak Island that match historic museum pieces in Portugal!!! Norman decedents of the Vikings start the Poor Knights of Christ and...
