I put the One Ragged Hole peep from Warren Outdoors on my 44mag Ruger SBH so far I’m really liking it.
It doesn’t work real good in low light conditions but then my 62 year old eyes don’t either
I’ve used there 158 gr SWC many times they shoot and reload well. You’ll like the box they come in and the candy they send, also you get a couple extra bullets just because.
Theisens store in Corralville Ia has 50cal ammo can with 30cal inside it for $20 picked up one set, wishing I would have grabbed another. Cheapest I've seen around here
I put one on my Super Blackhawk Hunter for the same reason, Gimmick is it makes you concentrate on the front site and it works. I like it
Mine was called One Ragged Hole if I remember right, you get two rear sight blades with two different sized holes in them.
I bought a new Heritage Arms 22/22mag 3.5" barrel with the Birdhead grip for $170.00 It's fairly accurate fun to shoot, if it's shot a lot empties start ejecting hard. The gun store I bought it from took the screw out of the ejector rod housing that connects it to the muzzle end and put lock...
I want to load some 45colt black powder loads with ffgoex and fff pyrodex. Only thing holding up the progress is bullet lube.
I want to try a few before I go full bore into it, so questions are how do I get the smokeless lube out of the bullets I have and how do I get the black powder lube...
I'm very interested in doing the same. So your saying the lube that comes on the purchased bullets won't work?
Or how about poly coated bullets will they need lubed or shoot them as is?
Thanks
44mag Birdhead Vaquero 3.75 barrel always goes to the range with me. Punishing recoil with hunting loads but a blast and very accurate with 250gr RNFP and 6.6 grains of Universal
Has your revolver been dry fired, I was told that the firing pin will hit the cylinder if there is no cartridge loaded and that the firing pin can also be damaged with repeated hits on already fired cartridges.
I have a Heritage 22 that my grandkids love shoot, I watch them very closely...

I have that exact same rifle bought it in the mid 70's, I put a widefield scope on it, back then it is the most accurate rifle I owned.
After seeing your pic and read about you shooting it makes me want to get it out again, I think1982 was the last time I Shot it.
Thanks...
I've got 3 birdhead grip revolvers, 45 colt, 44 mag both are Vaquero's and a 22/22mag Heritage Arms. I myself like the fit, feel and natural point ability of them, 44mag can be a little stout on recoil with hot loads.
I've got both 45colt, and 44mag both the 3.75 vaquero birdheads. They are both my absolute favorite range guns and woods walking carry, hardest part for me is to decide witch one to carry.
The 45colt has very comfortable recoil with 250gr RNFP and 8grs unique.
The 44mag can be a bit brutal...
17cal 6.5" Single Six
44mag Super Blackhawk Hunter
45colt 3.75" BirdHead
44mag 3.75" BirdHead
And two DA
22cal 4.2" SP101
357 4" GP100
All of them stainless
Love my Rugers
Went out today and shot the 7grain loads of Unique, at 12 yard rested I was putting them in a 3 inch circle most of the time (not the guns fault).
Really liking this gun next loads I'm thinking of going up to 7.5grains.
Kind of confused on loads the manuals have different load ranges for 250...
