    Ruger mk2 vs mk4?

Never handled a MKIV, so no opinion good or bad. But very happy with my MKIIs. Don't even mind the cleaning regiment.

Mantis system X10 I believe for pistols

I do not have the X10. I have the Laser Academy and the Blackbeard. A rail is needed for the X10, and very few of my guns are railed. To answer your question, yes you can dry fire with it. You load the pistol with a laser cartridge. Is it worth it? Depends on how much you use it. You can save a...

Has anyone else flipped the script?

I like both of those. I have a couple that are always on my list, but never see. In the meantime, others I was never looking for continue to get added to the safe. Congrats.

Question of the day- Fingerprints on fired cases?

My wife once saw me loading mags with a socks on my hands. She asked why. Told her no fingerprints. She gave me a sideways glance and said "The stranger that sleeps beside me".

The Gun and Knife Picture Show

This one came with a knife. Sometimes I can be a bit slow. It took me quite some time before I noticed the grips on the knife were 1911 grips.

Old School STi (Show & Tell Time) Please Join

Pretty sure I've posted most ( if not all ) these pics elsewhere. But what the hell. I like the old single stacks.

Show me your old single stack STI 1911s

Nice & thanks. I've wanted to add a 38 super to my collection, but the stars have not aligned yet. I have a buddy with a STI Eagle double stack ( still called STI when this was made ) in 38 super. We went to the range one day, and he said I should buy this gun from him. When I said "Yes" , he...

Show me your old single stack STI 1911s

Didn't know the Trojan was even available in 38 super. A rare bird indeed.

Show me your old single stack STI 1911s

The Elektra is an officer size. Those slide serrations are called sabertooth ( or sabretooth, seen it spelled both ways ). The Electra was an attempt to draw females to the 1911 platform. Note the short trigger. It was available in 9mm & 45 ACP. Came in various colors for the STI logo & ELEKTRA...

Show me your old single stack STI 1911s

Always been sorry STI ( Staccato now ) stopped making their single stack 1911 pistols. When I see one for sale, if the funds are available, I try and snag it. Was able to nab this Elektra in 9mm about a week ago.

First new gun of 2024! 😁

I really like the SP101s. Owned a total of 5, and currently have 3. Never had one with the bobbed hammer. If one popped up at a good price, I'd probably grab it. Gun show this weekend, so who knows. Congrats Nightlord40k

Has anyone used this dry-fire system?

I've seen the video on this system. They are also setting up a lot at gun shows around here. I cannot say if they are good or bad, because I opted to buy one of their competitors, mantis laser academy. There are so many options with the mantis, I've barely scratched the surface. Neither system...

What is the last gun that you bought?

Went to a gun show a few weeks back. One of the worst shows in a LONG time. I was leaving and was pissed. On the way out, spotted this. Somehow had missed it. It's a bit scuffed up, but the price was KILLER. So grabbed it up and it's now with RUGER getting refurbed and reblued. Have a soft spot...

    STI Guardian

Absolutely keep the Guardian. The old single stack STI pistols pop up for sale once in awhile, but the prices are going up & up. I've passed on a few in the past, and when I see the same model now, and what they cost, I could just kick myself for not grabbing them up earlier.
