Got to the range again today and concentrated hard on trigger pull technique. I gave it a squeeze and held it and the second shot goes off so quick and then I release the trigger. Digging deeper, the trigger pull is quite hefty (as it should be..above 6 lbs), the buffer is very close to all my...
Update: changed out trigger group and put in another set I had. To the range. Did same thing. Using factory IWI 5.56 ammo and the primers look normal. Cleaned the BCG and will try again.
New AR is popping off two rounds with single trigger pull. I've looked at the lower and it's the same as my others. Is this a gas issue or something else?
Thanks, but already have that schematic in several books...The gun in question is a break action and has a small lever off the side of the hammer that is pushed down to open the action.
The biggest problem I see is what order do the parts go back in...?
A customer brought me a 'basket case'...A Rossi 410 single shot shotgun (believe the model is an S411) a lot of parts there..a schematic or video could get me started. I guess he caught me at the right time or I would have said 'no thanks'. But I am open to challenges. Thanks for any guidance!
Need to identify this 12ga shotgun. Has 33" barrel with 'Hunter' stamped on it, a flip open cover with a 4 digit number stamped on the underside. It will not take a 2 3/4" shell readily, so I think it's only a 2 1/2" chamber. Any help would be appreciated!
I have a Stevens 311 variant side by side shotgun on the bench that has cocking problems and the underside of the barrel has the cocking plunger and extractor along with a part not shown in diagrams that slides back and forth. Diagrams show a spring also (missing). Anyone have an idea on the...
I have a Browning BL22 that needed a heavy cleaning and disassembled it and all went well until I tried to slide the bolt assembly into the barrel and tube assembly. Problem: the ejector spring keeps falling out and jamming. I've wrecked two springs trying to slide the 2 sections together and...
I believe you're right..I took another look and the plunger at the end of the tube stops about +/- 3/16ths of an inch short.. I am going to try to extend the plunger by gluing a small puck on it to see if that pushes the cartridge out a little more so the carrier will clear..Won't get back to it...
A Winchester model 1906 came into the shop with a notation that it does not feed properly and jams. Cleaned and checked out, found extractor was GONE! Broken off just ahead of the pin that holds the extractor. Replaced and now functions rounds through until the last round which ends up being...
the piece in question is molded onto a metal framework that makes up the spring catch mechanism on the forearm. I think I am going to try and build it up with an epoxy and recreate the part based on what's left of it. Wish me luck!
Customer dropped off a good looking SS Kresge (K Mart) shotgun manufactured by Boito. The plastic piece on the rear of the forearm is broken out, probably due to age. Can't find this gun listed anywhere in my books, tried Numerichs, Jack First, and others...Is this something that would have to...
I have in the shop a Boito 20 ga SxS break action shotgun that doesn't cock the right side..I've had it apart, cleaned and compared parts. All seem to be in good condition. Any ideas? TIA
